Who was the better ILB for LSU? Just curious... I don't remember who was better, what's your opinion?

Sheppard based on total body of work, football IQ, and leadership.

im going with keven minter.

4-3-5 defense (all time)

LB bradie james, eric hill, laron landry

DL marcus spears, glen dorsey, booger mcfarland, mingo

DB patrick peterson, mo claiborne corey webster,
eric reid, honey badger

That defense would be ridiculous. Mostly because we would have 12 players on the field.

Ill trade you laron for reid and run honey badger in nickle. And hill for minter.

Sheppard was really solid, but Minter was a tackling machine. Didn't Minter have 20 tackles against UF in 3 quarters (missed a quarter due to injury)?

I just remember watching Minter making tackles constantly.

Yeah - KS seemed, maybe, a little quicker and a little bigger of a hitter, and KM was a little surer of a tackler, but just marginal differences across the board.

Both were great. We could sure use a MLB of that quality right now.

Me thinks you're leaving out some great players.

Chad Lavalis instead of Booger
Jarvis Green instead of Mingo
Ali Highsmith instead of Landry
Tommy Casanova instead of Reid

Cute idea but the fact that LaRon Landry isn't a LB kind of sucks

I would agree that Shep was better based on all of this, but Minter had the higher ceiling athletically. This really showed in 2012.

Minter was the better player at the end of their LSU career.
