This tweet is mainly for my LSU people. Kelvin Joseph is on the phone with us right now. He says as soon as Dallas picked him 44th, he thought immediately of Wayde Sims, his friend from LSU who wore 44 for LSU hoops & tragically passed away in 2018. Life is wild.

Nobody mentions the surprise of him getting drafted so early?

I was surprised he was drafted as high as he was, but he was a much better player at Kentucky than he was at LSU. The best thing that happened to him was getting away from the friends and bad influences he had at home. Arizona is a good place for him to land.

He barely got to play here and when he did he played well. The coaches I think thought of him as a safety because we were good at starting corners. Of coarse till we had some players hurt.
I think he wanted to play corner. Looks like he was right wouldn’t you think.

Yeah, I know LSU recruited him as a safety and played him at corner because they simply had no one else to play there at the time, but I thought they had decided to leave him at corner.
