Your head coach has the right to ask you as a player what you were doing at a concert where guns were involved and people were shot and killed. The best way to handle that is to not be an arse whole about it. Drug test usually are next in line which it was.

Who's turning on the coach in this thread?

That said, he has his work cut out for him for next year when this 2018 class is supposed to take on a more prominent role.

You think we forced this move? We didn't want to lose Joseph, this is his decision.

It’s half and half in this thread. Some say he chose to go. Others are saying it was mutual.

I’m also not one of the guys saying that he chose a questionable lifestyle. Go back and look.

I don’t like this current landscape of college football. Back in the day a player would commit to represent the university whether they played a lot or not. Seems like college football is merely an NFL developmental league and players just want playing time and no school loyalty.

Really breaks my heart to see people talk about Joe Burrow like this. Guy is a leader on and off the field.

Oh wait, that post was about Kelvin Joseph? My bad.

Are we reading the same thread?

Because Joseph has so far, been accused of being :

1) too stupid to play
2) too high to play
3) too “gangster” to play

That is objectively worse than being critical of the head coach, the man who is paid millions of dollars, as opposed to the kid who gets free room and board and some sweet cleats and gloves.

hence the declining interest in CFB by some now, myself included.

This is the exact reason Cole Tracy sought to transfer here. To get exposure for the NFL.

Do you suggest he should have finished out his eligibility at Assumption College because of some sense of loyalty?

This holds no true substance for anyone but yourself. We used a scholly on Moss. Why? We didn't have many TE at the time. We used one for T. Alexander. Why? Bc we didn't have much depth at DB. Wanna know something else? We had more depth at Ol at the time than those 2 positions, so no.. your comment holds no "substantial substance", clown

Sucks that he is whiffing on his opportunity of a lifetime.

This is my deal, when does the light go on? When does someone reach these kids and get them to look ahead more than the next night out w his boys . He could disappear quickly and prob will

Neither are the ‘dead weight’ I am referring to that YOU originally brought up.

this does NOT refer to Joseph, but to the multiple TE and underperforming OL/DL you loosely referenced.

This is the ONLY player from the 2018 class that is leaving that had actually been on the field for more than a few plays.

And was also was not at the very bottom of the recruiting rankings for that year's class.

Davin Cotton 1 tackle against SE La and 2 against Rice
Dantrieze Scott no stats, no games listed
Tae Provens 4 carries 13 yards against Rice
Zach Sheffer did not play
Dominic Livingston no stats only game was against Rice

So yeah, he is losing one, possibly two players that would have played this year. Eaux really has his work cut out for him. He has to decide whether to replace K. Joseph with Derek or Mr Stingley or he may just go with Derek Stingley. Tough, tough choice.

The class you are crying about also had these lesser known players:

Ja'Marr Chase
Terrace Marshall
Chasen Hines57
Damien Lewis
Badara Traore
Chris Curry
Micah Baskerville who played in 8 games and had 11 tackles against Florida

Though 2019 will probably have more starters than the 2018 class:

Derek Stingley
Apu Ika
John Emery
Cade York
Tyrion Davis
Marcel Brooks

Not to mention other possibles to play a LOT if not start:

Kardell
Maurice Hampton
Donte Starks
Devonta Lee (at safety more than WR)
Anthony Bradford
Raydar
Jay Ward
Kendall McCallum
Soni Fonua

Didn’t our basketball team just sorta do this with all of them declaring for the draft basically forcing a decision on Wade?

The transfer portal is not necessary for the scenario you presented.

You just admitted that the 2018 class is already surpassed by a class that doesn’t fully arrive on campus until next month.

Well one class was top 5 and the other was top 15. Did I spoil it for you? Were you still trying to figure out which class was better? My bad!

Two of the five or more starters from 2019 are already on campus and playing - Stingley interception in spring game and Ika total domination in spring game.

This shite aint rocket surgery or brain science dude.

This is going to blow when he's shutting down our receivers and making a pick in the Bama game in 2020.
