It’s the least talented roster we’ve had since the early 90’s. Orgeron actually decimated the program to the point his propaganda machine tried to make everyone believe it was at when he was hired.

Daniels is QB1 in 2023.

If this team had a serviceable qb like Brennan that could use the wide receivers, which should have been a strength of the team, we would be competitive. We are by no means great, but would have won our first games and would have been more competitive against Tennessee.

The defense is better than they look because they are on the field too much and probably do not really believe in the offense.

The special teams are a problem and bringing Jaden Daniels onto this team was Kelly's biggest mistake. I do not think the team or the receivers believe in Daniels and Kelly is now trying so hard to prove he was right by bringing in Daniels that he is now destroying any team chemistry and making the problem worse.

We will likely lose all remaining SEC games.

Good thing Daniels will be the starter then. Get used to it. It is what it is.

Jay Johnson said the same thing about the 2022 baseball team. Will the reaction be similar?

Kelly hired an old buddy to be his OC, so no way Denbrock is getting blamed. Dude has great job security no matter how bad the offense looks. House isn’t bad…he’s the one actually working with the bare minimum. The offense has to keep up with the defense though.

Kelly is also an egomaniac that will stick with HIS decision at QB no matter what( 2011-12 Les Miles), especially since the #2 is a holdover from O’s team. No way he gives O the satisfaction of knowing he signed a decent QB if Nuss ends up performing better than JD.

I don’t think LSU has elite talent across the board anymore. Both talent and depth are an issue

Having talent, and developing talent are two different things. If you look at the ratings of the talent we have (main way to judge high school players), I bet you will find that majority of our two-deep are 4 stars.

Excuses, excuses. Kelly says all the right things except when he throws his players under the bus to save his own sorry azz.

But do they though??

The man said enough to compete better. Yes. Tenn should have been favored in that game but team has no business losing by 30 at home to anyone, injuries or not.

What are you talking about? He’s never once thrown anyone under the bus. The constant theme “we need to coach better” is because he knows the talent isn’t up to par.. but he won’t say it

Developing talent isn’t an overnight process. You have to take a few punches and yesterday was one of them

I remember Saban saying the same thing in a press conference or maybe his radio show his first year, talking about the secondary. He said there’s no free agents, or trades to be made, you have the players you have, and you have to do your best to teach them. I believe it will get better.
