Defense sucks and offense couldn’t put the game away

7 points in the 4th quarter. Ole Miss had 21.

Well starting the 4th quarter on like the LSU 22 skews that just a bit, especially with BK boggling our penultimate drive.

You mean BK had another mental meltdown in crucial late game clock management scenarios? Then panicked on 3rd down?

That's become his M.O.

I will never understand how clock issues are a thing. Literally have an assistant coach work on clock and probability. Take the TE coach or some shite and have him study it 3 hours a week.

It legit isn't hard to be average or above with clock management. Even Andy Reid eventually got someone to help him.

Just hire an expert Madden player as an analyst. I bet you could get LSU students to volunteer to do it for free.

I was coming to start a similar thread this morning.

This needs to be bumped all year long.

Only thing that can stop a historical offensive team from winning is a historically inept defense. Congrats, coaches! You did it!

If our D keeps being this bad, JD may end up putting up Burrow-esque numbers, b/c we will be in shootouts every game

Burrow-esque numbers
Burrow was 13-0. That’s the only number that mattered. LSU still has to play Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Texas A@&M and Missouri. They’ll be lucky to not have 5 losses this year.

Was it LSU’s defense that got two penalties in the same final offensive drive?

It was the LSU defense that gave up points on 3/4 of OM drives.

Offense is the only reason we had a shot.

The problem was on the throwing side for Dart. The pressure when there was any came from his backside and it was slow getting there. The push up the middle was non-existent and Ole Miss savaged the other side. Most of the big runs came off that side. Other side was not much better.

We are talking about QB play not team stats.

If you ever wanted an easy example to understand how stupid your attempt at a point is, all you had to do is watch the LSU game last night.

Daniels production is quite simply amazing and we still have a contingent of fans that blame him for losses

Who blamed Daniels for the loss?
This was squarely on Kelly. Kelly is in charge of the staff. Kelly is responsible for clock management. Running a fast pace offense instead of burning clock, when the defense is gasping for air, is the Kelly's responsibility.
He is the most overpaid HC since Jimbo Fisher.
Hmmm? What do they have in common.

There are posts in this very thread blaming him ("the offense") for the loss

There were multiple threads made after Hilton dropped the winning TD calling out JD, individually.

Max Johnson led LSU team put up 53 on Ole Miss a few years ago and won. He had 435 yards.

What I am getting at is Ole Miss has long been known for shite defense. LSU has yet to play a defense worth a shite this year.

Florida State, a game Daniels had almost 350 yards passing and 64 yards rushing. Over 400 total yards.

You are arguing the biggest imbecile on the board. He some how thinks nuss would have won that game last night and he not playing is the only reason lsu lost. It’s amazing.

He can't do much with what the Cajun playboy left him with. He has portal players and freshman and injuries. After 2019 the playboy didn't care. He didn't recruit. He got paid and wanted to party. It's gonna take a couple of good recruiting classes to get back on defense. Stay patient
