No we weren't. LSU beat a ranked A&M team with a depleted roster and a lame duck coach.

He had a huge disadvantage over the kids he could recruit at ND.

Our defense is horrible, and Kelly will not recruit as well as Miles or Orgeron, so that's also a concern.

L O L

The lengths y’all will go to convince yourself that Kelly is bad is astounding. We finished 6-6 that year. Is that not terrible?

Brian Kelly has the 3rd-most losses by 20+ points as head coach of an AP Top 5 team. He has 5 in just 37 games.

The only coaches with more, Joe Paterno and Woody Hayes, coached over 100 games with a team ranking in the top 5.

Funny, we beat bama by one single point last year. Still counted the same in the win column as all the others!

First coach in a long time to take over a rebuild at lsu and is having to do it in a new system everyone is trying to figure out. Portal and NIL etc. I trust Kelly to figure it out more than almost anyone else. Same whiners bashing him were bashing Daniels last year wanting him benched.

Three of the losses were by 20 points or more. Tennessee, Georgia & FSU.

Obviously we are better off than we were before he got here.

We're not paying 100 million dollars to be marginally better than two of the worst years in recent memory.

Kelly was 4-11 vs top 10 in 12 seasons at Notre Dame.

I don’t care. It has no bearing here.
Orgeron sucked at Ole Miss. How did you like 2019?

In a rebuild (and that is what it is), it is not unexpected…for now. In a couple of years - we need to be a national title contender.

Hey, at least the $100m man is going to get us to 8-4 for the next decade.

Last year?

They wanted a Heisman hopeful benched THIS year.

They also didn’t think Joe Burrow was a legitimate qb at the end of 2018.

Looking at next year’s schedule and our turnover, I see 4+ losses.

If you have the deepest pockets…true.

That being said, one of the reasons that we have holes to start with is because of the NIL, and being outbid.

Not really. Imagine paying a coach close to $10 million a season and achieving less and less each year. This team definitely has a lack of talent and I think BK will eventually bring in better talent overall. However, Matt House is currently in charge of a unit that playing at a historically bad level and that's on the head coach. He's BK's hire.

LSU has played in 4 big games with BK as the head coach. Not only are we 1-3 but the only win was by a single point. More importantly, LSU looked unprepared in all 3 losses and were unable to make any meaningful adjustments in-game. Special Teams is still not good and we've generally always had a great return guy. Now, we're happy that we just have a guy that can fair-catch the ball. Defense is at an all-time low. This just isn't what you pay $10 million for.

FSU was a game LSU clearly was unprepared. Ole Miss loss sucked but was acceptable. Offense came to play and defense just isn't good. Same thing with Bama. Only difference is the coaching staff tried to help the secondary so much that they conceded the entire field underneath for Bama to run. At what point do you make a decision to stop Milroe from running all over the field? You make him beat you passing. He missed open throws to wide-open guys. Yet the coaching staff conceded the run and defended the pass. We all saw how that worked out.
