Wade isn’t a good coach. Been saying it for years. Good recruiter but not a good coach. Maybe the best we can do but not worth the headache in my opinion.

I got blasted for saying this in the past, but Will Wade is the Kirby Smart of college basketball. Great recruiter but not a good in-game coach. I still love him but I don’t think you can deny it

A coach can’t play. The AL coach isn’t playing or calling any plays that are beating wade. Petty is literally 7/7 from 3pt line. That’s fricking insanely efficient. He’ll probably break a record tonight. Doesn’t have shite to do with wades ability or inability to coach defense. And news flash, no one plays D. Which is hard to watch for someone like me that’s an old school fundamental type of bball guy

Compared to past years, I’m good with Kirby Smart for our b-ball program. You know I actually think wade is a good X and O coach or at least better than you may give him credit for. Kirby smart can’t get with the time on Offense, has a great Defense and recruits well and always finishes outside that top tier. I think it’s a different problem with WW. It seems like he’s a players coach, has an aggressive and dynamic offensive mindset—problem is I don’t think the players we recruit really want to play defense. And it’s just not the way the fake is played anymore unfortunately. It’s about how many points you can score, not how many you can limit the other team to.

Wade coached the same way at Chattanooga and VCU. The problem is the caliber of competition in the SEC is significantly better than the SOCON or A10.
