He ran a 4.67 on his 2nd 40. I wonder if his ankle still isn’t right. I would have guessed he was a sub 4.5 guy before his injury.

It does kinda suck for the dude because Jayden didn’t really zero in on him last year. For whatever reason, he preferred Taylor and Nabors. Could be he just felt more comfortable throwing there. Could be Boutte just wasn’t himself. Who knows. But those numbers are not great.

Dam baw. I could run a 4.67. And I can't play in the NFL for sure. He's screwed

Cost himself a lot of money today, hoping he can turn it around with the drills and pro day.

Why would he zero in on a dude that sucks.

Yes he did. To a lesser degree, he was also the victim of a tough situation. The program was in a shambles and we brought in a new coach with on offense that featured a run centric QB. In hindsight, it worked better than all expectations team wise, but Boutte's production was a casualty.

Maybe JD looked at Nabers more because he is better at football and making contested catches.

I’m two years, he went from a top 5 pick to maybe a 3rd rounder.

And it’s all on Boutte. Nabers had solid numbers. Zero reason that couldn’t have been Boutte’s numbers.

Gordy Rush ran a 4.6 when Miles was here at combine day.

And now we kind of know more about why his production was off. Something’s not right because I know he had it his freshman year.

He looked slow and sluggish all year, this shouldn’t be surprising after watching him this year.

While Boutte's is predominantly to blame for the position he is in, it is not all on Boutte. I am a big fan of Daniels, but his biggest fault was not seeing the whole field. Being limited, he found a security blanket in Nabors and it worked out well in the long run.

Boutte did little to help himself by dropping balls and not excelling at getting YAC, but the facts are Nabors was targeted this past season more than Boutte. And I am glad we did.
