Why because it’s true or you just like him and swing way left?

Not only had Coach O ‘just quit’ but he took a side. Based on player demographics, probably the unpopular side.
Not true. O didn’t take any side other than wanting to focus on defending a national championship. The players wanted everyone to support defunding the police which has had historically bad results. You can let them off easy by saying they were emotional and just weren’t very smart but nobody in politics now is supporting what the players wanted then.
Also O didn’t “quit” the 2020 season. He lost Brennan in game 3 and that completely changed everything along with Bo Pelini being awful, multiple players opting out for COVID, and Derek Stingley mailing it in. You can argue O quit in 2021 at the end when it was obvious he was being pushed out but O was all in for 2020.

He was a decent coordinator and an elite recruiter but that’s it.
O was never a coordinator. I think he had a DC-type title under Kiffin at USC, but Monte Kiffin was the actual DC.

And a good man doesn't compromise his beliefs. What many don't get is that I don't think he was something amazing, but I do think under the right conditions he was excellent at what he did. Joe burrow thought so in his Heisman speech. What people don't take into consideration is the shite storm that came coach Os way after 2019. You really don't think the racial division made a difference? You think the players have little blame and its all coach o? No he's not an elite coach, but he was the right man for the job in 2019 and deserves at least a little more respect for filling the rah rah role. He might have some dumbass moments but I can't hate the guy and I while I surely don't respect everything he did by any means, I respect him standing up to his brainwashed team trying to force him to march on behalf of a false narrative like Saban quickly bent over for.
Edit: and regarding Thomas and above replies, no he didn't lead it, he was just a big contributer. He still carried weight and was riding the hype train enough to have his noise be heard when he turned on coach for not marching.

Did Coach O inform you of his beliefs? It appears he took part in the protest walk
quote:
Hundreds of student-athletes marched this past Saturday, September 12, for social justice as a part of the Tigers United initiative. The march was followed by a ceremony with speeches from athletes, coaches and alum including Jacoby Stevens, Nikki Fargas and Ryan Clark.
But neither the act of solidarity nor the heartfelt speeches were the biggest hype after the march. It was this Tiger TV video of Coach O walking with his team that went viral.

I was referring to the march to the presidents office 2 weeks prior but I failed to inform myself that he marched after that. Thanks for the info, my opinion is very much changed. I appreciate the Elmer's glue for 2019 but I'm down to very little respect for him now
Edit: and that he claimed he didn't know about the march and joined asap? This entire situation is Charmin soft. Kardel fit in well with this group of clowns who tarnished our squad for years to come.

At the rate he is going, he will pass the age limit for being a rookie in the NFL

Kardell was in high school during the Calvin Coolidge administration.

he has the genetics to play in the league
His genetics caused his issue. His legs just could not keep up with the growth of his upper body. I'm sure he worked hard on lower power, but his genetics failed him.

Now, there’s a group of Mensas that should be leading young men.
