Chris was all everything coming out of Miami.

Guy was the single most hyped recruit in early LSU recruiting history. Baffling.

we had a 5 star linebacker from up north who transferred out a few years back.

Now he was the most overrated guy we've had in a long, long time. I remember he complained about the heat down here

No contribution here and nothing at a lower level either really I don't believe.

And he was the #2 OLB in the country and a 5*.

Went JUCO and then signed with UAB but never got his grades in order to qualify.

What a waste.

Pretty sure he was #1 rated OLB

He had mixed results in all star games/camps, but there were some that he did very well at against elite DL prospects.

Sometimes it's as simple as not giving enough fricks.

This!!

In some of his camp fill vs. elite DTs he looked dominant. So it wasn't JUST beating up on 1A kids. However, to date, it hasn't translated at all in college. I don't think I have ever been so wrong in my impressions of player

I still think he could put it all together. His injury was pretty bad. And when you are that large of a human and having to rehab a leg that supports your mass, it's a tough road back. I think it's a stretch to call him overhyped. He completely dominated dudes at the camps and circuit events. I always thought he would be a dominant college guard, and I think he still has time to become that.

Doesn't skip meal day.

Skips leg day.

Bad combo.

Dude was athletic af for his frame. That injury hurt him way more than it should have. Hopefully it clicks for him someday.

Are you really going to blame someone else on him being out of shape. It’s called self disciple and growing up! If you don’t have that you won’t make it with the big boys

Not really
He has good straight line speed but
If you look at his testing numbers they are not very good compared to other top OL

He doesn't baffle me. He missed his true freshmen season due to a severe injury. So that's why he is behind Bradford, who in his third season at LSU is ready to compete for a starting job. As unlike Thomas, Bradford didn't miss an entire year because of a very severe injury.

Now, next season if Thomas hasn't learned all of his techniques and all of the offensive plays and isn't ready to compete for a starting job, then I may write him off.

I don't recall him being a 5 star but could be wrong. I definitely expected more though. He looked really sloppy. I noticed a few plays where Roy destroyed him.

And being an "early bloomer" and dominating in HS on pure size/strength advantage.

I thought he was going to be the next in our line of road grading, linebacker eating guards, but it wasn't meant to be.

Still time, though. :fingerscrossed:

but that overrating was not detected by our Oline coach. He just recruited the hype. That is the difference between someone that knows and someone pretending he does. Just like LM, recruit the recruiting services picks so you can win the star recruiting trophy. We are missing a lot in offensive line recruiting, and our play shows it every game.

Wasn’t Craig Loston a 5 star S in his recruiting class?

Yes.

But he had 148 tackles, 8 TFL, and 7 INTs at LSU and then made an active NFL roster a couple of seasons.

He's so far above other busts. He wasn't Laron, Jamal, or Grant, but he was a decent safety for us.

The thing that is disturbing is his conditioning. He needs to be in shape to compete and he isn’t.

As I recall they dropped him from 5 to 4 star; it was this board that overhyped him.

It’s like he’s two different people.

In HS he had the best attitude. Loved LSU, loved football. Was working out in his backyard like a beast.

Gets to campus and turns negative SJW with bad work ethic.

I mean he came in a highly touted 5 stars. Looking at him Saturday tells me he might not touch the field until 2023. Huge belly with small legs. It’s like he’s carrying twins out there. Very disappointed in him. Is it him, moffit, or Craig? This kid should be farther along
No big surprize to me. Like I said a few years ago right after he committed. (And all the Rant Cheerleaders were going crazy)

Going from A Classification High School football in Louisiana to the SEC is a big jump. He looked much better on tape because the level of competition was so weak. He just dominated everybody physically at Southern Lab.

He can't do that at LSU. He's in way over his head both mentally and physically and will never play a down of football here. (Didn't help either that he shot his mouth off publically about Coach O/Politics)

Might as well transfer now. He can enter the same interdimensional portal at the same time as TJF......
