Kardell Thomas as advertised or overated?

I have watched his highlights, and his all American game footage. He does play high and seems to get thrown off balance by extremely strong lineman. But he has great footwork and seems to have little problem kiteing the DT around his target. I don't really see him getting beat, but he does seem to be getting pushed around by other 5*s and borderline 5*s.
Do you guys think he is overrated ATM, and is being rated on potential. Or do you think he is as advertised. The kid is a physical beast imo, but I'm not sure HOW good he is. Am I seeing him as I think I am, or am I missing something. I've said this before, but I'm not really an expert with line play.

He needs to lose some bad weight. He’s not overrated though.

He's Really good, but like a lot of talented kids has thing to work on. Losing some weight will be one of the first things

He hasn’t even practiced yet. How would anyone have any real information to evaluate him?

Overrated given how many people assume he is a game 1 starter.
Not overrated in the sense he will be an all conference player after transforming his body.

So he’s like 98 percent of high school 4 and 5 star recruits that don’t have fine tuned techniques because they have been more athletic than everyone they have faced? Good to know.

needs to lay off the whoppers, but yeah he’s a beast. I just really wish we got an OT that was his caliber. all the big fat guys are great for moving bodies and opening holes in the run game, but they can’t keep up with quick OLB’s and that kills is in the passing game and also is the reason our screens suck bc they can’t get up field. this was a Les Miles mindset that I was hoping O would get rid of

He gets beat because he is overweight. He will be a MONSTER whenever he gains strength and speed while losing some extra fat.

If he is willing to put in the work he will be a good one. Due to him playing 2A ball it will probably take longer than the fans and he wants to see the field.

To be honest, I am genuinely curious about kardale. I know he is good, I just wanna know if he is as good as advertised or if he is a project based on potential. I have heard tons of negative things about him from non professional observers. But I believe I have already stated as such.
