The Texas game, all the ridiculous grabs he's made over the past two years, all the YAC moves he can make, and he's probably going to run a 4.45 40, but hidden speed aside this guy has some of the best hands/route running ability we've ever seen at the college level, better than Jarvis only due to size. He is always open and he's wide open more times than not because he's embarrassing people out there.

He'll be a top 10 NFL receiver if he gets a qb.

Not in this draft. Probably day 2 though.

I doubt he’s a first round pick but 2nd or 3rd round seems more reasonable.

I don't know why people post college stats in reference the a player's NFL prospects. People in The League don't give a shite.

It will largely depend on his combine. A so-so combine will render those stats meaningless.

I think Justin could have a faster 40 than people think. He has looked really fast out there this year after the catch (and I didn't think he looked particularly fast last year).

There are a lot of WRs coming out though and Bama could have three 1st rounders alone. Crowded group. I think he would go 2nd round at the latest though.

100% agree. His route running does not get enough love. He is elite

Well this is horseshite

Of course they look at a hundred other factors, but going bonkers vs good teams in college undoubtedly helps your draft grade

There is a deep receiver crop in the draft this year. Will be tough to break in. But if he lights up the combine he might sneak in.

Sue hope so. Much rather deal with Waddle and some new guys and mac Jones while our Paw patrol and rookie crop runs wild with Brennan.

According to PFF, route running is JJ's weakness.

90% of JJ's catches come from the slot position & sitting in or crossing thru an empty zone. His big gains come from his excellent RAC ability, not a route tree.

Whereas, PFF's #1 WR for the 2021 Draft is J. Chase who can run every route and can line-up outside or inside and has great RAC.

Walter football mocked him to the Saints at thread of the first round. Clearly they don't realize espn and the Saints hate LSU.

When has Chase ever lined up on the inside? Jefferson was our number 1 receiver from the outside routes last year and consistently created great separation.

Chase is obviously our #1, and is a top tier prospect on all fronts. But this thread was about Jefferson.

For the record I doubt JJ is a first rounder. He’s incredibly crafty and is elite with the ball in air, but is not as sudden/dynamic as most first rounders are. He hasn’t seemed as consistent lately(Marshall too) since his opportunities have dwindled a little bit with the offense focusing on Chase/CEH. Hoping that’s something that’s getting worked on going into the post season - their opportunities will be there for sure.
