Ultimately he is just there to sign off on what o wants as his assistants. Coach o couldn’t convince any of his top defensive coordinator targets to come so he was stuck with his 4th option. I don’t think woody could say no after o has missed on 3 already. And o is in a make or break year, so woody let o pick the oc and if it doesn’t work out, o will be gone

O has cost LSU $5.7 million in buyouts of Canada $1.7 and Bo $4 million! Disgusting, and now we have paid an inexperienced OC $1.2 million for 2021 and $1.3 million for 2023. Who are the clowns approving these ridicule salaries with zero OC experience?

I don’t see it that way. Ed is in charge of football. Period. Woodward is in charge of Ed. Can you imagine the A.D. telling the coach who they can hire. I’m sure it’s been done but not often. What’s next? Telling the coach who to recruit? How to prepare for an opponent? That Jerry Jones bullshite won’t get you far.You have to let the coaches coach.

What could he have possibly done? Any coordinator worth their salt could see the writing on the walls or heard via the back channels and didn’t want to be associated with Orgeron. It is what it is, finish out the season and cut ties.
