Choctaw is not living in denial. He's making a point.

You projecting 5 or 6 losses because we aren't playing up to our potential is really not that different from him projecting hypothetically that if we fail to play up to our potential but still win every game (by one point) then it will be a successful season... because at some level, a win is a win.

It's all guessing at this point as to how the season will play out. But at least we did come away with a win last night.

Sure, if LSU wins every single game by 1 point, we win the National Championship this year. But his dumb arse is trying to make a point saying it doesn't matter how you win all of your games, as long as you win. This is true, but it's time to be realistic here and realize that we will NOT WIN EVERY SINGLE frickING GAME THIS YEAR PLAYING LIKE WE DID LAST NIGHT.

It's good to know we're keeping pace with Tulane

Most likely, you are correct, and we will not win every game this year... which is what most people believed anyway. It doesn't mean we will lose 5 or 6, as you suggested earlier in the thread. But undefeated is unlikely.

I have to admit to being on the optimistic side going into this game and into this season. I also admit that as last night's game wore on, it eroded my confidence. But I still think we have the ability to be in every game this year. So I'm not quite ready to throw out the baby with the bathwater yet.

guess what happens if you win every game by one.

you end up like Kansas in '07, or Auburn in '04, watching others play for the NC??

How are you good for the program? LSU wins and you can't enjoy it. LSU wins and you can' congratulate the team, but rather try to tear it up.
I'm sorry you can't be happy for a win, you must be miserable. Or maybe it was a loss that you wanted deep inside? That would explain a lot.

if if if----if we don't run into the punter they don't score. if we don't hold a score isn't taken off the board. if we don't hit the upright their if doesn't matter. ENJOY THE VICTORY.

That is downright silly. The players looked pretty happy last night on television after the WIN. Why can't you be?
