It wasn’t that great of a story

And you have nearly 18k posts, yet you have never even said one thing you have done affiliated with LSU that is remotely anywhere near that story so I’m good with that.

I’m sorry you guys don’t actually have stories from LSU because you never actually attended it....

Alabama had 27 million tourists, Louisiana had 47 million tourists.

The states are similar in climate, population, and size.

Well we have New Orleans which hosts Mardi Gras, many Events, Conventions, Sugar Bowls, Super Bowls, NFL & NBA games, and Louisiana has World Class Fishing.

Alabama has Birmingham & Mobile. They host the Birmingham Bowl, the Mobile Whatever Bowl, and they try to have a Redneck Mardi Gras (MoonPies included). Lol.

Agreed. Saban, at one time, wished he had stayed at LSU but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s been infinitely successful at Bama. He’s happy where he is and is probably always thankful to LSU for propelling his career so I’m sure he has a soft spot for LSU but he’s Crimson and will always be. He’s not unhappy.

I love it when he's in the booth before an LSU game. He does excellent pregame commentary

Google it. He’s said it in several interviews and has been very open about it. Quit being lazy

When the other team scored the TD to put it away, I said towards him, “In the words of the great Lee Corso, Ahh F*ck it”. I saw both his wife and him chuckle at the comment, made the horrible moment happening a little less horrible

That didn’t happen at all

I honestly don’t think Saban is really anti LSU other than beating us. He said leaving LSU was the biggest mistake of his professional career if I am not mistaken.

I don’t know. I kinda feel like Saban understood at that point that LSU was a team of destiny and one of the greatest of all time. Always felt like he was pulling for LSU wearing that coat.

Use whatever words you want to describe him, but for a unbiased ( in comparison to ranters here anyway) opinion, Lane Kiffen pretty much summed Saban up with clarity: " we'd go fishing & we're not in the water 10 minutes he's discussing this play or that one; at times during the morning, talking to himself about this player or another. " Finally, after listening to Saban, watching him totally ignoring fishing, "I told him Coach, take a break & let's just enjoy the solitude." He looked at me & said in his cold fish - look : that's your problem. " Never went fishing with him again.

agreed. He’s just a serious guy, and not a gregarious jokester. Doesn’t make him miserable. I’d imagine he’s pretty damn happy - incredibly wealthy, numerous championships, and regarded as one of the best ever.

If he were truly an arse, I think we’d have heard it from tons of former players who are in the NFL and don’t have any reason to hold their tongue. But we rarely hear anything.

I have met Labrandon Toefield and talk to him at length about his time with Saban.... the players hated him , but respected what he was trying to do for them.... Saban was a jerk to his players but was just being that way because he knows what he is doing and wants perfection....... I’m telling you that the guy is a total a-hole aside from his family and just a few people at Bama he HAS to listen too.

all that has ZERO to do with whether Saban is a miserable person. It’s just means he’s a hard-arse coach, like many, many others who work with young players,

Does he have a warm and fuzzy personality? Nope. But that doesn’t mean he’s miserable and unhappy.
