Special Ed’s Bo Pellini bullshite was the single most detrimental thing anyone has ever done to LSU

Lost current players and the locker room, which has depth impacts for years
Paid top dollar for a DC no one else wanted to product the worst LSU defense of all time

NT aren’t supposed to have a ton of tackles- their Job is to be disruptive enough to eat up a double team. This allows linebackers to run free and make plays. Him getting sacks and tackles is lagniappe.

Where is this coming from? My understanding was that Ika chose to transfer because he wanted to play in a 3-4, not because he would be benched in a 4-3.
Not saying the move to a 4-3 turned out to be the right call, just that it seems like a stretch to say Ed didn’t think he was good enough. Unless I’m missing something.

3-4 nose tackles rarely make tackles. They control the line and keep their LBs clean so THEY can make the tackles.
