Is it safe to say he is figuring things out?

The level of completion has dropped in the last 2 series. He really has t been bad, it’s that our offense has g helped him or any other pitcher on our staff.

Dead on. Run support makes all the difference. They're not out there fighting for their lives.

Figuring things out? Dumb thing to say. Dude had only pitched about 20 innings in college. Also coming off a TJ injury. Dude was rusty. He needs innings under his belt. He’s developing into a dominant pitcher.

No. Working out the rust.

That’s just a different way of saying “figuring things out”

No. Figuring things out means he didn’t know what was wrong. He knows and knew what his issues were. He didn’t need to figure them out. He just needed some work to get the rust out.

You must have zero idea about baseball. He was basically a freshman. He had to come in and eventually figure things out. Every freshman has a learning curve.

You’re the one who has no idea about baseball. I played college ball. He’s had things figured out. He’s just getting his arm back in shape. Athletes that are out for a year come back with a little rust. It takes time to work it out.

We're arguing about "figuring things out", or "knocking the rust off".

How about this. He has come into his own.

Let's just agree that he's been great the last two weeks, and that starts like this give us a huge chance to win series.

Maybe he was just figuring out how to knock the rust off
