If we can get by Nicholls, South Carolina better watch out.

Having seen both, the best comparison I have is Kevin Faulk.

Both played QB in HS, and both have incredible wiggle with the ball in their hands.

Be curious to see if he can be the scatback that it appears LSU needs, or if they'll even try to use him that way.

Get him on the edge, run him up the seam....if the coaches get creative with him, he could be really dangerous.

I like the move.

With Ju' Juan Johnson at RB, the half back pass is definitely in play.

you don't want him throwing the ball....his biggest issue in HS was int's. He may get better, but I'd rather have him on the receiving end with a guy like Nuss making passing decisions.

You have to wonder Diggs was thinking leaving LSU for Ole Miss after tearing his knee up. He’d be our starter when he got healthy.

He likely won’t even be ready to play at ole miss until the second half of the season

His TD/Int ratio was not bad about 3/1. But he had a lot of underthrown balls to wide-open receivers as well. So I would tend to agree. But if they get a tight end or WR wide open, I could see that being an option for him.

Yeah, he thought keeping the LSU offense in the phone booth could beat USC

USC was #119 in the nation in rushing defense last season. PFF rates LSU's line #3 in the nation this year. My money is on the lack of execution being the bigger problem than the game plan.

....but it's easier to blame highly compensated coaches than blame players for not doing their jobs.

Bad take

It’s always ultimately the coaches fault. It’s their job to coach the team and motivate them to play well.

That’s why Nick Saban made fighting complacency the biggest focus of his coaching career and it turned him into the GOAT.

Coaches who can’t fight complacency eventually fail and get fired.

So players aren't accountable for poor decision making, blown assignments, poor technique, missed tackles, dropped passes, stupid penalties? How about not going to class, failed drug tests and sexually assaulting women?

So every team that has ever lost a game and every player that doesn't play well can just blame the coaches more not motivating them enough?

And the fact he just continued to do it when he even knew that wasn’t going to work. Maybe one day LSU will have a coach thats capable of making a damn in game adjustment

Spencer Ware may be a better one. He was also a high school QB converted to running back in college.
