I watched the video and thats not what he said at all. Pate is easily one of the best in the business and will be big time on day.

The video was about who has a brighter future between LSU and Auburn. He mentioned Jumbo has A&M built up and expects them to compete for 2nd 3rd in the West for foreseeable future. He never said LSU/Auburn will be looking up to A&M l.

It amazes me how “sports journalists” can’t grasp how roster turnover impacts teams. A&M had a senior-heavy team in 2020 and many are leaving. They’ll take a step back next season.

This can’t be overstated, particularly in a season like 2020. Any team that was successful last year had a bunch of upper classmen that didn’t need spring ball or a typical camp to gel. I don’t mind everyone sleeping on LSU going into 2021.

Formidable, yes. However, I’m willing to bet they won’t finish 2nd in the west next season. They leaned on a 4 year starter at QB and 4 seniors on their OL for the majority of their offensive production. 2-3 losses seems very likely for them if not more.

Josh Pate is awesome and gave the 2019 LSU team a TON of praise and airtime.

Maybe switch to BR sports radio if listening to an unbiased national opinion triggers you.

A&M being a consistent contender for top in the SEC West is laughable. They will put together 2-3 year stretches where they are decent, but that's about it. Jimbo will wind up being fired there and stories will be written about whether or not A&M got their money's worth for their ridiculous contract with him ($75million guaranteed).
