There was a rumor last week that went away quickly but the thrust of it was that bama had asked him to delay his transfer till after NSD to avoid scaring away WR recruits that bama wanted to sign. If I heard it right on a talk show last nite, LSU has not lost a La. kid to the portal. Yet?

Ricks to Bama has pissed off a ton of people. If a Louisiana kid leaves lsu for bama it’s going to cut so much deeper

I’ll say this… if Boutte leaves, Bama must have paid him an unheard of sum of money. He will be making NIL money here, be our #1 WR, with MB15 throwing the ball now.
Boutte does not give AF about winning a title with Bama. I think most of these big money making NIL kids don’t care about CFB anymore and it’s cashing checks and getting to the league.

I have no clue if he is or isn't considering that, but Boutte would be much more hated than Ricks if he left considering he is from Louisiana and grew up dreaming of playing for LSU. Plus, I believe he was tweeting how about how hard it was sitting on the sideline knowing he could have made the difference for LSU when they came up just short against Bama this year.

He wants to win a championship and make allot of money with NIL just like Ricks. LSU is behind the power curve on NIL and it’s hitting them in the A$$. LSU was not prepared for this NIL stuff IMO. They were too worried about making videos and putting billboards up in NY instead of getting community investment and cooperate buy in. Maybe they were worried about Title nine and didn’t want to rock the boat I don’t know. Hopefully he stays but if not then he will be tiger bait just like the others. We will eventually change the culture but we need to step it up or get left behind.

I think I heard he said something along the lines of he "plans" to be at LSU for the Spring.
If he actually said plans then I don't feel confident. Plans change.

That's him telling LSU to pony up or he's gone.
I say beat Bama's offer. And I don't care how. But between now and the next signing day (when the NCAA's definition of "spring" is) he just might get an offer he can't refuse.
So we don't necessarily have till the spring. That's just the drop dead date. Lot's of zeros can be added between now and then.

He isn't the only one that Has said Boutte transferring was a real possibility. Moscona and others have alluded to it as well.

the position continues to get thin with dudes leaving left and right and there are always injuries.
it's nice to have game breaking players on your team..
