It’s a must for depth at this point. Ika, Logan, Roy, Guillory, Taylor and Cherry are the only guys left inside. If a couple of injuries occurred at that spot, we’d be in serious trouble relying on mostly freshmen in this league.

I wonder if O is concerned we may lose another interior DL. He said 2 more guys “May opt out”. I hope not, but I feel Evans will be in the 2 deep rotation. He was already 2nd team RG behind Hines and probably would’ve been the first off the bench at LG too.

Both of our lines a few covid quarantines from being completely fricked.

This is not a situation unique to LSU

From the way Coach O was talking it sounds like he was first off the bench at either OG position.

I suspect Hill will be doing double duty at OT and OG now.

I don't like this. These situations might be best for the team, but usually aren't best for the player.

How much time was wasn't with Stevens moving him around? Devonta Lee?

Seriously? What the frick is going on? All I’ve heard all spring and summer is how great Evans is doing on OL and how he’s fighting for playing time and now all of a sudden he’s back where he started?

au contraire...

1. test positive
2. 10 days
3. test negative... 48 hrs

#4 PROFIT: no test for 90 days!!!!

So come out of quarantine + 2 on, let's say for example, 9/6.

Next test is 12/6. Now when is our last game? I forget... oh yea, 12/5.

Don't forget, one of the policies Carroll had at USC was for DL & OL coaches to spend time coaching the other side of the trenches. Same applied to many of the linemen, they would spend time playing the other side.

So a movement back and forth for Orgeron (and Cregg) is not a foreign to them as other coaches.

Admittedly this is an apples vs. oranges comparison. Carroll's policy was for coaches and players to gain experience in what the opponent is going to do against you and it was done in practice only and this is a position change situation.

However, I'm just saying such position changes are "less alien" to Orgeron and Cregg.

Also Nelson Jenkins but I get your point. We are getting a bit thin there.

Why would guys who test negative not be tested again for 90 days?

It's a negative test after a positive test (and subsequent quarantine).

If you never test positive, you get tested regularly.

If it was me, just my way of thinking you know, I'm praying for false positives (or arranging them?? who would do such a thing!) up until about a week from now.

Why, because with that false positive you sit for 10 days, get your negative test (because it is a FALSE positive), wait two days and good for rest of season.

Okay, just didn't follow your original 1, 2, 3, profit logic.

Now it's clear you don't understand how testing works and weren't being logical in the first place.

Supposedly, you could continue to test positive up to 90 days after your symptoms are gone. Many employers are not requiring a negative test to return to work. They're simply requiring that you show no symptoms for 10 days then be released by your doctor.

I don't know how it will be handled for NCAA/SEC/etc.

My sister suffered with covid for about 3 weeks, then felt almost perfect for 10 days and still tested positive. She went back to work without a negative test, and instead a doctor's release.

You’d think, except we seem to have even less depth at OG. Especially with obvious omissions of Bradford and Thomas the last few times O has talked about the Oline. Just a couple of days ago, the general thinking was that Thomas hasn’t fully healed and Bradford came in way overweight. Neither one were thought to have been in the 2-deep.

I’m certainly not freaking out over it or anything, but there’s got to be more to this move. It doesn’t make sense on its face knowing what we know as of right now.

OLine looking way better than Dline right now. We've got freshmen everywhere backing guys up on Dline. This move makes sense in terms of getting someone who has been around more than Guillory/Roy on the inside of the defense, Cherry there too to help out.

I feel bad for Evans though a bit, seems like he gets moved around constantly in his short time here.

You’re crazy if you think Evans is the same caliber of player Savage is.
