My speculation is the BOS has some recognition of WW's value as an employee. The difficult situation was created by WW being caught on wiretap and tapes being leaked. BC he is a valuable employee you don't want to fire him. But, bc he can't explain his side (on advice of counsel) you suspend him and wait for FBI trial to end and hope along with it, WW can explain to NCAA and LSU gets little or no repercussions.

This would make sense. But, LSU has not approached it from that standpoint IMO.

Alleva and King could have met with him when apparently he had agreed, and told him that exact scenario. "Wade, we need to protect LSU and to protect you at the same time since you are under subpoena and can't discuss this with us."

Instead, they want to bring in attorneys and the BOS. That doesn't sound like they want to keep him around and let this play out to me.

Jordy is saying it was 100% James Williams decision and the meeting was delayed after they wouldn’t let wade bring a lawyer and wouldn’t give him a transcript of the questions that were going to be asked.

I sent an email to every BOS member, uncluding Williams, who is the chairman. I told them that the whole season was an homage to Wayde Sims, culminating in the Championship winning game where his parent’s were honored.
I explained what a 6th man was (doubting they had any idea) and I told them they denied his teammate and friend the joy of playing with his teammates in that special game. They denied their coach the opportunity to coach it and call upon Wayde to help them - which they do before every game.
I told them ithey were callous to do such a thing.

At the beginning of email I asked them to at least acknowledge receipt of my email, so I’d know they read it. I requested a response as well.

Guess what? I’ve received no acknowledgments. No responses.

This is who they are.

Exactly, they clearly distanced themselves from him. They also lied about the meeting by leaking that he just avoided a simple meeting with bosses.

I currently serve on a board and yes notes are transcribed for every meeting. Pretty much standard.

I agree that Alleva could have met with Wade privately. That may have happened. I don't know. But Wade's comments:

quote:

I cannot comment at this time on various media reports, except to say that they do not begin to tell the full story. I understand the University had to take action before all the facts are in, but I would ask everyone to withhold their judgment until the record is complete.

indicate to me that he understands why LSU did what they did. My guess is that was discussed privately with him.

Never heard of an internal auditor being the secretary though. That seems counter to independence for an internal auditor to also be an officer of the board.

Can you give any more input on this than that?

Not sure I'd classify it as a lie. In scenarios like this-- the less said, the better for all-- especially WW. Going into the details of why they didn't meet and who demanded what as conditions precedent, in no way helps Wade.

ON the board I serve on actually the CEO of the company does the notes. Only because no one else wants to. In past board meetings of a company I ran the CEO's admin did the transcribing. Really no standard as long as notes are taken

Those boards also do most of their talking outside of those meetings.

The DEFENSE issued the subpoena. They plan to use him miller and McDermott from Creighton and possibly others to illustrate that the corruption in basketball is widespread and that the charge of bribery is ridiculous

Where are you getting that the defense subpoenaed Wade?

quote:

LSU basketball coach Will Wade will be subpoenaed by the FBI for their upcoming federal college basketball corruption trial, according to reports.

It could be an error in this story, but I couldn't find anything that said it was the defense. I'd like a link to understand more, if you have one.
