You're being way too literal.

And you're not even close,

He has a feel for the game that Thomas lacked, IMO

Why am I getting down voted for this? They have the same type of presence in the game.

Watching Mickey play tonight was like watching Thomas against Duke

Because Mickey is exponentially more polished offensively and a year younger than Tyrus was when he broke out. The defensive presence is similar. They are very different players.

I don't think it's crazy to think Mickey > Thomas. He didn't get that impressive till late in RS Fr year. I think Mickey is better than TTime was at lsu

I loved Tyrus. He was my favorite player. Still, Mickey has done everything Tyrus did but adds more offense. His man to man defense has improved and I really hope we get him one more year

Hopefully with this draft he doesn't leave too early like Tyrus

Their stats looks pretty similar.

I still think Tyrus is the most exciting basketball ball player I've ever seen at LSU. I've never seen anybody with hops like him.

This dunk.

What a dunk and shows the difference between the two players..

TT just had mad hops, he must have been 2 feet over the rim on that one...

Mickey should be extremely flattered to be compared to TT in his LSU days...

Thomas had a neck injury his true freshman year if I recall. Way too many people throwing shots at players of our past in this thread. F'ing ridiculous as fans of LSU.

Pointing out that they improved greatly after they spent a year on campus

Thomas was literally one of the laziest, most selfish and entitled players to ever don the purple and gold. It's why he's not in the NBA today and the guy traded for him on draft day (LaMarcus Aldridge) is an All Star. Thomas did some things for LSU, but he's half the player Mickey will become. No comparison here

No comparison offensively. Tyrus had zero offensive game while at LSU. Similar defensively. I'll agree to that.

Defensively, sure both guys are long and shot blockers. But thats it.

Mickey can actually play offense.

Im getting worried he might go pro... His stock has been improving all season long and that arrow is still pointing up.
