Looks like he couldn't get into grad school and wants more playing time

Allen wouldn't speak much about his football career at LSU, but I'm not entirely sold this is strictly academic.

I'm not sure what else there is to buy. I believe he stood to be in the primary rotation at DE this season. Unless the previous poster was onto something with him "slacking off" and getting left in the dust - As much as I hate placing any value in that kind of speculation.

I assume he wants more playing time. Good luck to him.

well going somewhere and actually getting PT would better his career...would it not?

not necessarily, if he goes to a small school he won't be receiving the quality of instruction and practice reps against top players, regardless of playing time. But primarily you don't want the reputation as someone who quits if you get passed up. At least finish spring ball.

Of course this is all just hypothetical on my part, as I have no idea what really happened.

Bower was pushing him...BUT had NOT passed him up on depth chart...

There are, reportedly, some off-the-field issues. He had not been at practice the last two weeks. That was a sign that something was up. LSU is being hush-hush about a reason.

THIS SUCKS!

Just spoke with Jordan Allen, who is seeking his transfer from #LSU. Has spoken with ULL. Early in the process.

Wouldn't mind seeing him on the line with Justin Hamilton and Dominique Tovell.

This can only be construed as good news re: DE depth.

Would like to see him with ULL as they look to be a pretty good team this year. He never really seemed to take the next step to being a solid SEC DE. Hope the best for him and hope this doesn't turn into a bad mouth type deal.
