Play him in game one, if he gets no hits, benching him the rest of the series. Look he needs something to wake him up. I agree earlier on he was one of the best hitters out there. He is not been that way at all lately, and not hardly at all in SEC play.

Benching a .360 hitter, who leads the team in RBI, and has double digit HRs is always a great idea.

He will be batting under .300 before Hoover. He seems like he's just wanting HRs and he's lacking on plate discipline.

I disagree. If you're going to sit him, do it game one. Piss him off. Because right now he walks around like a sad puppy.

it’s not great but he has a 9 game stretch where he was hitting pretty well

6/15 against Texas
4/12 vs MSU
5/14 vs OU
8 RBI

He’s just been cold the last 2 series.

Braswell back to the third

Nah, ya'll didn't want Braswell starting; all I heard from you all was Braswell, Eyanson and Stanfield shouldn't be playing. Smh, our dumb arse fans don't know shite.

And what is his batting average and home runs in SEC play and with RISP

Braswell back to the third and Brown or Fry at first and the other DH
Jones at this point is a liability
Let him sit a game and see if he can get his head straight

The time to bench him was last night. He wont be benched this weekend maybe he needs to drop down in the order. He's trying to hit 800 ft HR's and he consistently is late on fastballs.

More people need to pay attention to SEC Conference stats and not the overall stats.

Who cares if somebody can hit weak arse pitching in pre conference play and in mid week games?

Jones is hitting .244 in SEC play with only 2 HR’s. He’s not seeing the ball well against SEC caliber pitching. Something’s off.

If Jay was trying to increase his confidence inserting him at 3rd last night then I just don’t what to say and it backfired tremendously.

Yep, there is absolutely no fire in Jones at all. Everytime he strikes out or called out he just has that “oh well I don’t care” look on his face

Do you want to do it vs the #5 ranked team in the country this weekend?

It's not hard to see he's in his head.

He was hitting .296 before Auburn. Not that it excuses anything, but context matters. He’s been piss poor for two weekends. Not for the entire conference play.
