What have your sources been wrong about? Any examples?

Vilma is an ESPN analyst for those who don’t know. He may or may not have sources, but I’m quite certain people here would be lapping up his comments if his “sources” were telling him O is a much better coach than he’s getting credit for, has built a championship program, etc.

I heard Vilma but don't put any weight in it. He's trying to break in as a reporter and is from the "U".

What definitive proof do you have that it’s fake news.

Well, these same sources told me O would be the coach four weeks before he was hired and posted such on the coaching changes board. Same sources told me Jimbo was never really an option the year before that and I posted the same that year too.

They wouldn’t have known O would be HC four weeks before he was hired, because Herman and Jimbo were the main targets at that point, and were still very much in play. Also, Jimbo was an option and the option the year before, and that’s been proven.

They thought Alleva would retire this summer. That obviously wasn’t right. That’s the most recent example.

If this season end up as a hot mess, the first person on the block is gonna be Alleva

Both of these accounts arent true, though. We were very much after Herman up until a few days before making the decision. JA didnt play the game and got tired of Herman waffling, so he made a snap decision and settled for Orgeron.

Jimbo was very much an option the year before, but FKA pulled the plug and succumbed to the pressure and stuck with Miles at the last minute.

Doesn’t his contract run out at the end of this school year? Would they fire him in December/January, pay him whatever buyout, just to bring someone else in? Don’t forget, this is LSU’s leadership we’re talking about...

Yeah, this guy comes in here claiming his sources are usually right, then gives us two examples where his sources were completely wrong.

Oh I know, which is depressing

I try to hold out hope LSU will do the right thing but time after time they disappoint.

The reality is LSU biggest issues are not Ed Oregeron, its the people above him, and until that is addressed there will continue to be problems.

Look it’s teally simple! If there is this so called discontent with the head coach how in the hell would we be getting all these top notch transfers? Don’t you think those players came in on their visit and at some point spoke to the current players about coach O and their relationship with him? Gosh some of y’all want the man gone before he can get his team on the field to compete. Your bias is obvious! I say let the season play out and the judge the coach

Really, why should there be? What has either done in his career to warrant any kind of special respect?

Confidence in leadership comes out of respect for achievement.

Many coaches have been in less advantageous spots than O and have done amazingly for themselves. Those are special coaches.

Special coaches do special things and their positive effect on the program is usually evident very quickly. We should expect great things from O this season if he's one of those special coaches. He doesn't need more time.

How can you prove or disprove if its fake news?

I bet you if he was down on his knees sucking off the staff, people here would be pumping up Vilma and calling him a good dude

I don’t care who the coach is, you have to buy in with your teammates. Play for each other and for your school. Play hard and enjoy the short time you have at this school.

The players only meeting most definitely about that. Have pride in yourself and and play for the man beside you, don’t listen to the noise from the outside
