So all of you pleading for fans to give him time need to stop! I’m sure that he would be the first to tell all of you that. The LSU baseball job demands excellence not this mediocre product that we see every night that they play.

No coach was taking this team far with the pitching we got minus Coleman. It is what it is. It’s all magnified because our fielding is atrocious. The fielding is what worries me the most and needs to be cleaned up. Johnson deserves the blame for the fielding issues.

Has nothing to do with that. He simply can't be expected to turn it around overnight. These kids have some talent but the team isn't very talented overall. Don't spout class rankings either because if that held any water, we'd be #1 for the foreseeable future. The truth of the matter is we talked this team up so much in preseason and after Maine (lol) but we were delusional in thinking they were any different from last season. They aren't.
I don't understand why he isn't given a free pass this season at the very least. There's a rebuild underway, not a reload.

No he needed to win it all yesterday :eye roll:. Players regressing (it's really only Thompson. Doughty was never a great fielder) is his fault as if he's teaching them poor fundamentals

If this team has great, good talent, they are hiding it very well. At this rate, they look like a 10-20 team in conference play and no SEC tourny.

Fielding is definitely a fundamental that needs to be worked at every day.
But these guys have been playing baseball their whole lives. At some point, you can either make that routine throw to first consistently or you can’t.
If you can’t, you need to be sitting. THAT I will put in CJJ.

Do you think he believes they are playing good baseball right now?
It doesn’t matter what the fans say. He is going to be given time to succeed. We will see if he does or not.
