Maybe so, but it doesn't help to shift the blame away from Simmons on to Blakeney.
Simmons most likely told jones to frick off after the A&M game and Jones was just looking for another excuse to cite as to why they didn't want to play in the NIT.

Makes no sense. We'd be lucky to win 10 games next year if those two leave. Might as well get the new guy in to start recruiting his guys for year after next.

Jones complimented for not throwing players under the bus. Energy comments, were they deflections? No. Haven't heard the sound but team came out against aggy excited. Couldn't wait to get out on the floor. Out to tremendous start. Playing defense making plays, get up 9. That energy was good. Unfortunately, stopped making shots.

This. Any hope of fielding a half way decent team is out of the window if this happens. You don't have any program changing recruits coming in. Time to cut ties and start rebuilding.

The NIT excuse is a joke. So you won't be at a full squad. Go put your team out there and if you take an arse whooping so be it. What if next season you have a couple guys hurt or ineligible or whatever the case may be and you still got the SEC season to play? What do you do then? Do you quit?
