True. Hate to play what ifs, but imagine a technical coach with this bunch. Btw Hornsby is the man.

Dale Brown knew he couldn't coach X's and O's. That's why he had Huckabee as an assistant. Johnny doesn't know he can't coach and that's a fatal flaw for a manager type coach.

Dude. Seriously. And Elite 8's. And Sweet 16's. And 10 straight tourney appearances. The 2 can't even be compared.

Shocker, I stand by what I said. Our three major sport coaches can recruit well, but can't coach well.

Alleva hired a guy last year with NBA head coaching experience to help with the X's and O's. Johnny boxed him out better than any of his players block out in the games and he bolted even with this great recruiting class coming in. That should tell you all you need to know.

Anyone find it ironic that JJ might have been the individual who put us in the "Draconian Sanctions" mode and created the void that we had until Brady arrived? and got established And he's our coach again and going 4-4 with what many felt was our best lineup since 2006? Well, that may have been deemed Dale's fault, but Johnny had a hand in it with Lester Earl. I knew we were doing it well sooner than 1996...John Williams was certainly that. BUT we got caught.

Agree but we kept him about 4 or 5 years too long.

Forget X and O's and he can't coach basic fundamentals. I have never seen a college team so dysfunctional on the defensive end of the floor. We get lost, we can't guard dribble penetration, and then (with the exception of Simmons) we can't rebound.

He wasn't a adolf rupp or john wooden for sure. But don't dare compare Jones to Brown. At least brown made it to 2 final fours and is a SEC legend. Jones couldn't coach a damn junior high team. I am dead serious when I say they should fire him immediately. What him and Nikki Caldwell are doing qualifies as outright theft.

What a stupid comment. Musselman left because he got a head coaching opportunity. Idiots on this board spin it as him bolting because JJ 'boxed him out' Lol.
