But once again proved to us all why he is mediocre beyond a shadow of doubt. Before you say Johnny wasn't the one missing FT's, he is the head coach and takes responsibility for the preparedness and ability of his team. Alabama is not a team of world beaters. We were on our home floor with the #1 pick, and we have the ever so common 2nd half slump. We were playing for first place on our home court and were in the double bonus for more than half the 2nd half. Not many teams lose in that situation. Johnny is to blame, and I hope he is evaluated very hard if this team misses the NCAA. He should be coaching for his job.

The fact that we repeat the same things after every loss says all you need to know about the coaching.

When does the administration realize that Jones is not the answer?

I'm done with Johnny. As much as I like him and want him to be successful, he just isn't a good coach.

Well said. Johnny Jones CANNOT turn the corner as a coach, nor can LSU turn the corner as a team with him at the helm.

I mean, the man is 16-10 with Ben Simmons. If he lights it up in the nba, which there is a good chance he will, everyone will question why was he not more successful in college?

I think they realize.

Two things in CJJ's favor:

1.) The network that got him in here is still high on him
2.) F King is an absolute buffoon that doesn't want to fire a coach because it may send a wrong message.

Nothing was proven tonight. What is obvious tonight has been obvious to all with a handle on these kinds of things. He's going to be our coach for a long time, and we will have a lot of moments like these.

LSU had a huge chance to take a huge step forward tonight. But come on, don't kid yourself. There was no chance that a win tonight would have silenced any critic. A win and the critics would still be at his throat.

Don't blame the players missing free throws on Johnny. The player are the ones missing them. The players have to make 50 free throws everyday after practice before they can leave the facility. Alabama is a good basketball team and they will probably make the tournament because they have a lot of nice wins. LSU is still in a good position. We just have to win and this team plays better when people are doubting them.

No blame. We just need to accept that this is one hot/cold team, not quite ready for prime time.
