great hire, just fyi, look how much time the ut defense spent on the field. there offense was horrible. i think les did great with what was available. plus he is native AMERICAN, no charles barkly bs comments

He DOES NOT RECRUIT...That was one thing that Vol fans didn't like.. and I am telling you..He WILL NOT/ CAN NOT ADJUST....And LSU fans you should remember these two words when it comes to John Chavis.....MATT MAUCK....Remember the 2001 SECCG?...And Mauck comes in running that qb draw over and over...And UT has John Henderson, Albert Haynesworth, Kevin Burnett, Aubrayo Franklin, Demetrin Veal, Eddie Moore, Keyon Whiteside, Julian Battle, Andre Lott, Rashad Baker and Jabari Greer on defense?...."Chief" comments...We weren't prepared for the back up qb...All he did was run the QUARTERBACK DRAW...How prepared do you have to be for that?... He will make you guys pull your hair out on those 3rd and longs...

was that suposed to be a big name defense outside of Haynesworth, Burnett and Greer.

I'm excited. He's had a solid career of producing results. I think we need solidity in our defense. He brings that. If O could come to provide DL, fire, and recruits I would be really excited.

That is my point...Nobody knew ANYTHING about them in the SEC..but all expect Andre Lott are still IN THE NFL... and that isn't counting the 2nd team defense...

That is it...Every starter on that team is STILL (with the exception of Battle and Lott) is still in the NFL..Baker and Greer WEREN"T even drafted but are still playing...Chavis has TONS of talent that he doesn't do squat with..
