Anyone who shits on Joe can go eat a dick. Dude came here and with 2 months of practice won the job. Next year he should shine and will have an whole offseason with the wr, offense should click next year no excuses.

Jon Gruden once said "stats are for losers" while coaching the Buc's referring to the Buc's.
I'm not completely on board with that lil Napoleon but I will say this: The team without Joe from Ohio would have been a dumpster fire and this board would have been inconsolable. When talking stats I don't understand why the NCAA doesn't record drops just doesn't make any sense to me.

Pretty sure NOBODY shite on him in this thread. I fact most acknowledge the fact that without him this team likely loses 7 games. What someone pointed out was using the last 4 games as a barometer for his overall play was a poor observation and use of stats.
I presented the SEC stats - which for the most part are all that really matter to many on here. Win the SEC West, you have an excellent chance to win the rest of the games and play for a championship. Go change your tampon.

Why are you calling someone else the board clown while quoting my post?

Did I miss something here?

Why? Does OT not count as part of a football game anymore?

It does, but it's disingenuous when using those stats for the OP's purpose.

If Burrow had thrown for a TD in all 7 of the OT's, that kinda depicts an inaccurate picture.

He looked a lot better late in the season when he seemed to have better pass protection. To play a little Devils Advocate...Etling’s stats his last two years against A&M are this....39-58(67%) 671 yards 5 td’s to no picks. A&M seems to inflate our qb stats as of late.

I wouldn’t argue with that point. I agree with your assessment here. They definitely improved throughout the year.

With that point made I do believe there is still improvement to be made. Especially on the Oline with pass pro. They get that figured out and I think we may have the offense we’ve been yearning for, if not, very close to it.

knew people were going to take my post the wrong way

You just happened to be the first one to post something critical of his performance in the last four games. It was nothing personal. The other poster had to start with his usual personal attacks and I responded.

Go ahead and disregard the positives posted and downvote.

NOBODY can refute the facts. I’ve noticed trend in that way - downvotes with zero responses.
It’s the demo response - wah it’s not fair or doesn’t fit my spin.
So you are saying. . .

A first time season starter for a major program did worse against good pass defenses, than against poor pass defenses?

Well I guess that means Burrow is no good? Heck, that puts him in the same class as Mettenberger. . .or every first time season starter for a major program outside of Heisman candidates.

I am generally accused of being a Nega-Tiger on this board.

But you are just being a whiny bitch.

Poster #1: Hey guys, the guy played well against the last 4 opponents. . .could be good for the future

Douche #1: But he didn't put up amazing numbers against great defenses, so that means he sucks. We should all hate LSU football now.

Board: Naw, you're a bitch

Actually he followed suit from his stats
MSU was the best pass defense he faced then BAMA at 15, then UF at 18,
TAMU isn’t in the top 50. LaTech was technically better than UGA (29) and UA.

Scoring defense is what I said and TAMU was top 20 based on their ability to stop the run and put pressure on the QB. LSU didn’t even attempt to learn how to run an effective screen play or slants. That is an area of immediate need.
If they don’t fix that, count next year as mediocre again. There has to be the ability to prevent teams from stacking he box to stop the run and slow down the rush.

Why the hell did you copy and paste something somebody else said, and then try to pass it off as my thoughts?

WTF?

Take out the bogus INT vs. UCF. Plus, two dropped TD passes. SHOULD be 12-0 TD-INT. Very impressive.

All QBs stats can dip against tough D's.

Tua was 59% against Georgia and 40% against LSU
Fromm was 58% against Texas and 47% against LSU

The LSU passing offense was out-of-sync even against poor D's early in the season. LSU's passing offense has GREATLY improved in the past 4 games. Nega-Tigers are grasping at straws.

So was his counter part at Michigan in Haskins? How about the kid at Clemson. How about Manziel?
I NEVER said or even tried to compare him to them, but you just tried to put me in that category.

Secondly, I POSTED SEC stats ONLY. La Tech had a better passing efficient defense than UGA and AU. You want all the stats in there?
All i did was post the stats for the season and not those against a shitty pass defenses in TAMU, RICe, Arky and UCF. UCF gave up 600 yards to MEMPHIS!!!

Pump the fricking brakes with those games and give a fair assessment. Don’t try to bluff anyone.

Don't forget he told the other poster to change his tampon after he furiously shite all over the OP's premise.

Then there's this gem.

Not trying to crap on him at all. He is a good game manager
