Looks like the LSU passing offense is starting to gel.

Last 4 games:
10 TDs
291 yards passing per game
66.9% completion rate
10 to 1 TD to INT rate

And that 394 passing yards & 4 TDs in the Fiesta Bowl has to be one of the top-10 performances by a LSU QB in the last 50 years.

Things look bright for the LSU offense in 2019, IMO. The O-line, WRs, and QB are synching it up.

I agree. One of the negas will be along to inform you that UCF had offensive tackles playing cornerback and they sucked on defense. Which is the only reason Burrow was able to shine. Why their grandma could've put up those kinds of numbers on UCF.

You mean the 74 yards and a passing TD? Can we add in the rushing TD?

Love Jeaux B!
He brings offensive leadership that we haven’t enjoyed in a long time. No need to argue stats. Kid makes us a lot better.

Exactly, Wylie Tiger... And 7 freakin OTs? At the end of a grueling season? And after a brutal 4 quarters? Take out A&M OT???? That dude must be smokin crack!

I love Joe Burrow and think the offense will ball out next year, but these are the teams those numbers are against:

Rice, Arkansas, A&M, UCF.

Two group of 5 schools and the worst team in SEC this year.

Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves based on those four games alone.

Again I’m very optimistic for next year. Just pointing out a fact.

Why? Does OT not count as part of a football game anymore?

Love Burrow as a player. Kid is about as tough as it gets. Looking forward to see how much he can improve next season.

Totally unnecessary, and this is the reason you are the worst poster this site has ever seen. Not very many people at all have any issue with Burrow.

LSU played about the toughest schedule in college ball. And Joe, WRs, and O-Line had next to zero organized practice time before the season started.

Now that the passing game is gelling, you want to minimize the competition? How many cupcake teams do all the "really good" QB's have padding their stats?

And A&M and UCF are no joke. And Rice and Arkansas are within acceptable cupcake-statistical-distribution-sample standards.

You are correct. But this offense also struggled earlier in the year to SELU and LaTech. So you can’t tell me this offense didn’t get any better. They improved and it showed toward the end of the year.

I knew people were going to take my post the wrong way. That’s why I said twice that I think with Burrow next year I am very optimistic with the offense.

There was great improvement the last four games, I just don’t want to assume that 4 game statistics will be replicated throughout 12 next year because we have tough teams on the schecdule again. I’m sure the offense will be better against tough teams next year but if the o-line doesn’t improve and gets manhandled against teams with good d-lines it doesn’t matter.

Also UCF defense isn’t great...they give up tons of points and yards to Memphis and other group of 5 schools.

idiots on here won’t reply to facts like this. Funny how that works.
UCF let Memphis out Up 600 yards on them and they were the “best” of the group. The reality was TAMU had a good run defense and scoring defense and the offense put up 24 points in them. Burrow had <200 yards passing in regulation. It was his feet that was the difference.
Not trying to crap on him at all. He is a good game manager and I think he will get better next season.

It kinda goes without saying, but those teams with good scoring defenses made LSU one demensional by taking away the run. Using his legs versus TAMU was the game changer for him. His QBR was pretty horrible against BAMA, TAMU, and UF which were the losses. People want to pin stuff on the defense need not look further than the passing offense. It is the same issue that plagued Miles’ teams.

His SEC average is really 8 TDs to 4 INTs in 8 games. You fantasy football owners wouldn’t like this too much.

Go ahead and disregard the positives posted and downvote.

NOBODY can refute the facts. I’ve noticed trend in that way - downvotes with zero responses.
It’s the demo response - wah it’s not fair or doesn’t fit my spin.

I wouldn’t argue with that point. I agree with your assessment here. They definitely improved throughout the year.
