A positive thread for next year and some of you guys can’t wait to come in and shite on it.

Hard to figure out why.....

Looks a lot like Mett jump starting his 2013 with a strong ending to 2012. I've said since September that Burrow was going to do that.

Give Burrow a decent line and running game next year and he will lead LSU to the playoff

I can see this happening. LSU needs more depth up front.

If LSU had a legit Oline and run game this year they lose one

Yeah there are a handful of people who get upset at anything positive, promote the negative and pretend they are being objective

I don't believe for a minute that these people will be happy until Orgeron is fired, and that means hoping for losses

LSU offense in 2019,

It's always next year. It's always lets find a way to cherry pick something so we can play a feel good game over something. Lets not just admit LSU offense came in twelve in yardage gained per play in the SEC which is worse than Canada did in 2017.

Burrow is a good QB. E has proven he isn't a good OC.

Many here crapped all over the LSU offenses the last ten years, but now being one of the top five offenses you spent years crapping on is something to be admired.

Too funny.

Having a QB with an arm and a brain promotes fan confidence. The problem this year was Oline and subpar running game

That was specifically referring to pass defense.
But, But, But it’s the competition. Blah blah blah. fricking idiot
LaTech at 25 and UGA at 29.
He threw for 200 yards with a 50 yarder against UGA and 192 against LaTech. I was at both games.
Zero TDs against either.

And you actually think La Tech has a better pass defense than UGA? Why? Because La Tech is ranked higher SOLELY on passing yards allowed? That's just silly, dude. La Tech is also ranked higher than LSU. LOL !!!

Pro Tip: Check the strength of schedules.
Hint - Conference USA is NOT as tough as the SEC

You sure liked discussing that topic after haskins had a “bad” game against penn st.

In fact you started several threads discussing that topic earlier in the year. Those suddenly stopped. Why is that?

All year you have told this board that 1. joe burrow is a better quarterback than Dwayne haskins and 2. Joe burrow is a top 5 quarterback in college football. You've said repeatedly that everyone would see both of these things to be true by the end of year.

It’s now the end of the year. State your case for each of those things being true.

Joe is better than Haskins.
He will declare and be the 1st QB taken-especially with this week QB class.
They were even at OSU per Urban.

If you look only at stats, then OF COURSE, Haskins had a FAR better year than Burrow.

But if you do look at Haskins O-Line and WR's, then it is a different story. Haskins had a great WR group. 3 will go in the draft this year. At least 3 more will go in the next couple years. And Haskins O-Line was far more experienced and healthy than LSU's

You want to talk about OC's? Please. No contest. Wilson/Day are proven commodities in the world of passing game OC's.

Do I take Urban Meyer's assessment of the Haskins/Burrow comparison over a couple random keyboard warriors? Yes. Of course I do.

That was NOT the point. That was in response to the OP about the LAST frickING FOUR games of the season he used as a sign of marked improvement of Burrow over the previous games.
I made the point that Burrow had his best game against Ole Miss and that LaTech was on par with it better than the last four teams that LSU faced INCLUSJNG TAMU AND ICF.
BTW - LaTech’s passing efficiency was better than UGAs as well.
Competition against competition JUST LIKE HE WAS TRYIBG TO PASS OFF WITHOUT REGARD TO CONFERENCE OR SOS.
If you count Rice and UCF as your basis for improvement, you might as well count LaTech.
Why didn’t he have a better game against LaTech than teams like TAMU or ARKY because it wasn’t because of their shitty defenses. ... you see how the frick that works?
You cannot just choose a small subset of stats and then bitch about others using a subset that show something different.
If you want use the entire dataset and you’ll see he was about the 7th or eighth ranked QB in the conference. Not terrible, not great.
Conference play is what really matters anyway and frankly he didn’t set the world on fire.
I’ll take it...
