Didn’t realize Joe was a Tame fan, he’s even cooler than I realized.

I know a LSU athlete's number can not be retired till a set number of yrs ( 5??) have passed since his/her/it/them/they last played. But I am not aware of a set time for a statute. I can see the wisdom of waiting for some period of time has passed before erecting a statute. Not a probable problem with JB but suppose a statue was erected & that athlete subsequently raped a child? Or printed counterfeit money?

It surprised me a little bit that more LSU fans weren't at least a little aware of Burrow before he decided to transfer to LSU.
When Haskins was in high school, he decommitted from Maryland. The favorite to sign him was Ohio State, but there was a rumor for a minute that he would visit LSU.
I decided I would look at the OSU roster to see if they had a QB or two on the roster that might convince him to go elsewhere. I read about Burrow and watched his film, and was really impressed. I thought he might scare Haskins off. As it turned out, I'm glad he didn't.

You can’t do that. If you do that you’re erasing history.

Joe Burreaux may have started off as a Buckeye, but will forever love and be a Tiger! You can just tell by the enthusiasm that he has for the school and state. Urban Meyer can say that Haskins was the best QB at that time and he made the correct decision, and I'm sorry the young man tragically passed away recently, but Meyer knows he screwed up in that decision of who is the starting Buckeye QB. LSU and coach O, thank him.

Burrow bring here is everything. I’ve never had so much respect and admiration for an athlete in my life.
