several times more likely to be killed by police.

That is a slippery slope to bring into a statistical analysis.

I doubt that we really have data on how those interactions with the police go. Could have a lot of runners or combatants that lead to escalated encounters with law enforcement

Back to Joe's comments, nothing wrong with them. He is being positive and reasonable. That's all you can ask for from a role model.

That's true. Why would you trust numbers from the police.

It goes both ways buddy. Black people like to pretend this is an issue only in their world. They had 95% of the country on their side in this one before all the rioting and blaming all white people. You'd get a lot more support for police reform if you didn't package your argument like "black people being murdered and hunted" and recognized its an issue for everyone.

I don't know one black person that thinks that it's only a black issue.

No one is blaming all white people.

If you know there's an issue that needs reform, why does the presentation from a perspective you don't understand cause you not to respond?

That's weak.

If you are truly passionate about something, others' opinions and actions are irrelevant.

How often have you expressed your concerns about whites being killed by police?

I'll ask you the same question. What do you do for a living? Do you ever speak about anything else besides your work?

I'm in real estate....but I don't use my position to further my political or social beliefs....that would be counterproductive for business. I do speak of other things outside of work, but whatever remarks I make are not incendiary or designed to agitate the conscious of the nation.

Uh oh. The LSU Messiah, Football Jesus, omnipotent Joe Burrow is about to be hated by some folks in the LSU fanbase. This says a lot about the folks who have issues with his statement. Wonder why LSU has ahd that "reputation" used against us.

As a Black Man, I will not turn a blind eye to the racial injustices in America. As far as getting our affairs in order, how about AMERICA get their affairs in order. You see even by Mr. Floyd doing the right thing by being compliant, he WASN'T combative, yet he still died. I would be willing to wager, if more law enforcement officers were held accountable to the fullest extent of the law like the ordinary citizen, when they perpetuate a violation of human rights that lead to the death of that person, there would be far less deaths.

I think the police state problem is mostly a non-race issue, but that’s not to ignore the cases where there is obvious racism. People are assholes but not everyone is a racist. We all want to see justice being applied where it is that, just, regardless if there is racism involved. This shouldn’t be a white vs black issue. It’s a citizen vs police issue first and foremost until we can clearly attribute racial motives in this situation

How hard is it to obey the law? Do that and all is good no matter what race you.

Where is all the outrage about the murder of Glenn Hutto?? Amazing. None of these guys talked about that cold blooded murder.

So was Eric Garner and yet the on-duty police officer that murdered him is walking around as a free man.

Something is Fishy

Floyd and the cop murderer worked at the same nightclub. Floyd was being arrested for passing off fake money. Has an Ozark feel. This may have been premeditated.

So because this dude didn't obey the law, he deserved to die?

Why? Because I can see what you are too stupid to recognize? Because I have a different point of view.
For the record, I am a retired, successful health care professional and administrator. I have a wonderful daughter and two beautiful granddaughters. My life is full and I don’t have time for ignorant, self indulgent fricks like you.

I can’t wait for all of you Trump sycophants to turn on Joe Burrow like you turned on Eric Reid.

Good on you, oldtimer. We need more like you on here.
