There’s a reason Burrow’s late-season breakout did not come until after Alabama shut out the Bayou Bengals in Baton Rouge.

What the heck's this about?

I have to believe Joe is helping modernize the offense. I don’t disagree with the “wait and see” approach, but players and coaches are all saying the same things.

Also, everyone knows the fans will be livid if they trot out that same inept offense that got Les fired in 2016. I doubt the coaches are that stupid.

Watch us light the world on fire. I will laugh my arse off at all the people. Especially the O hate train. The effort has been made. Much more than miles ever did. Miles went with old and semi proven. O has gone for up and coming. Minus E

I’ll laugh my arse off too, but it won’t be to prove some point to anonymous rant posters. It’ll be because I’ll know LSU is about to make a playoff run for the first time!! How many years have we waited for a competent offense? It’s TIME!!

Well that would always be #1 with me also. I just like to get my hopes up. That way I was on the train from gate 1

Yep.

I want to see our O put Bama's D on their heels. I want to see THAT!

The offense will be different. The spring game and videos from fall camp show elements that we've never seen before in a LSU offense. In fact, since Brady was hired, I don't think I've seen LSU take one snap from under center.

The question, of course, will be execution. The playbook will be vastly different, but that's only part of the equation. The problem is that this offense over the years has simply not been able to execute at a high level for all 4 quarters.

We'll see if that's changed in a few weeks.

And yet he hasn’t coached us to one single win. I’m still very skeptical that we are ready to emerge from our offensive woeful to mediocre status overnight, if at all. Orgeron is still the coach in charge after all

I'm not calling anyone stupid, but the head coach hired Les's TE coach and made him OC.

If that’s true, you randomly pulled it out of your butt. There was no logical reason to believe Orgeron was the best man for the job. Not even the most hard core O-pumpers wanted him to be hired at the time. They all thought he was interviewed just as a courtesy.

In pretty sure that people you're referring to will be ecstatic about the success of the offense. So not sure why you'll be laughing?

In all seriousness, I believe this offense will be great as long as there's no resistance. When there's resistance, I just believe that this coach will revert to type.

He'll get tight, he'll direct the offense to be conservative, we won't take shots at the endzone within the 20, we'll settle for FGs and rely on the defense. I'll be shocked if we're a really aggressive offense vs all teams.

That's not clairvoyance, that's just observing what offenses have been under this coach.

I don't think they really would be happy. It's not in the current human nature to enjoy being on the wrong end of the stick and just accepting it and being happy

Ah, I see.

So if I buy a lottery ticket and I don't think I have a real shot in hell of winning, but I win, I'm going to be angry that I was wrong?

That's not quite the same thing. As the result only affects one person.
