Nothing I've said came from TD. Some of it might have been talked about here, but I trust one person when it comes to this stuff.

My story has been backed up over and over even by the horse's mouth aka Joe alleva.

No, no it hasn't. Les Miles, not Jimbo, will be running out of that tunnel in Green Bay wearing a purple jacket.

That's a whole lot of opinion.

I'm pretty sure that's what Tiger Rant is for.....
Most of my story is fact but some is conjecture. I hold on to my belief that the more simple explanation is probably more correct than wrong. Everyone needs to remember how all of this got started.....Alleva (and his band of misfits) LEAKED these stories to the press in an effort to get rid of Les while hiding behind some kind of manufactured public sentiment.

If we have even a modicum of success this season it will be all about how Joe saved the program by putting the fear into Miles. The son of a bitch is already starting to set the narrative. It's sickening.
Man, I sure hope LSU doesn't win the title this year, or else they'll NEVER get rid of Alleva!

Take it like you want...but I know he's saying that it was a positive for him. IT'S NOT! In any way.

you sir, have a way of cutting through all of this bull shite and getting straight to the crux of the matter.

LSU fans hate everyone to do with the athletic department and always have. FIRE EVERYBODY, FIRE EVERYBODY. the LSU mantra

Lol, actually no. Most of the stuff I was told was the day of the ATM game, and after.

Nope....Just Alleva for lying to us over and over again. If you owned a company and one of your senior managers lied about several important public issues followed by being forced to back off of your public statements...causing embarrassment to the company. Then caused a public relations nightmare for your company by leaking stories to the press. Then made SEVERAL horrible hires resulting in very bad company performance. Then....Then.....Then.....
Would you as CEO retain this senior manager?

You said Alleva said "it looked good" on him, which is completely different than a situation "being good" for all those involved. Sometimes people look bad in a situation, but it benefits all those involved. While that may not actually be the truth in this situation, I do believe everyone involved learned from it, and those directly involved have moved on. Now, it's time for everyone else to do the same, as our Tigers start the new season in about 2.5 days.

In reference to him saying November made all, including himself, look good

Here is your original quote. Alleva never said "Man, that situation last November really made everyone involved look good." No, he said it was good for everyone involved, meaning they learned from it.

How ironic that the two biggest dumbasses on the Rant are the ones arguing with me.

Listen chode boy, the way that November went down was because Alleva is a fricking weasel who DID NOT "put a foot in Les' arse", and instead tried to oust him with more leaks in his office than Hillarys email server.

It was embarrassing and less than unprofessional , and now you want to give him some sort of credit for being a leader who puts feet in asses?

GTFO

That's why Alleva was trying to orchestrate a public relations coup. Honestly, Joe and the people who advise him (Eddie, Verge, etc.) need to be fired.

Interesting. Very interesting. Someone is in the know.

I can't believe I'm defending the guy, and I see your point that this is why he gets paid the big bucks, but I do think he learned from this and I'll take that over stubbornly continuing down the path he was taking.

No one will ever be able to convince me that Sexton didn't try to bend LSU over the barrel once Miles was all but fired, and that's what blew up the deal. F King certainly knew what was going on for weeks, but the wednesday before the aTm game he suddenly objects. Why? I can't say it for a fact but this is the same Sexton who bragged years later about how Saban arrived at LSU. Sexton and LSU had agreed on a ballpark number it would take for Saban to leave MSU. Once neither side could turn back, he said he threw out a ridiculously higher number, ($1.2M, on par with Bobby Bowden at the time) which he assumed LSU would balk at. Emmert said yes. The only way Jimbo was coming here was for a ridiculous sum of money, he had no other incentive to besides some LSU fans sketchy memories that he loved TJ ribs or some shite. The PR shitstorm of ousting an 80% winning coach with a 15 million dollar buyout, and then making his replacement the highest paid coach in college football, in the midst of a budget crisis, was too much.

I typed all that out just to say, everyone on the admin and booster side kinda learned that if you dump your gf who is a solid 7, you can't be mad if a 9 treats you like shite. In this case it wasn't even a 9, it was another 7 who just happens to be better with QBs but still hasn't won consistently at a high level in an easier conference. The 10 over in Tuscaloosa wasn't leaving, and everything else around was a 4 with potential. I think that was enough for the boosters and admins to say, ok, we may need to move on eventually but Miles the best we can do right now, so we might as well get out of his way until he proves we could do better.

as close to the truth as possible.

Im no Alleva fan but other than the "in the moment it sucked for all of us" he's right that it was good for everybody to realistically look at who we have, what we were trying to get and was it really the right thing to do?

In the end, it wasn't and we are in the here and now moment and everyone associated with the team seems to have moved on.

I thought the official story from the CLM fan club was that it never really happened and the whole thing was just a fabrication... So I have no idea what Joe could be referring to.
