So does it matter to the NCAA if Wade comes back or not? In other words if there are any sanctions against LSU will they be less if Wade is not the coach? Just curious on why the LSU admins cannot make a decision on Wade. I can only assume that they think he did something terribly wrong and the NCAA is going to punish LSU severely - just not as severely if they get rid of Wade. Of course, the other issue is money and if your job depends on not paying Wade then I get it. Just a big cluster Frick that won't end soon enough.....

LSU would get zero credit, ZERO, from the NCAA for preemptively firing Wade.

If he reinstates Wade, he has to admit he made a mistake of judgment. If he leaves Wade suspended and Wade escapes any charges, he looks even worse. I would suspect that Alleva is secretly hoping Wade is guilty of some FBI charge or at the very least provided enough cannon fodder for the NCAA to hammer Wade, but leave LSU unscathed and no payoff of Wade's contract, All parties involved are trying to come out unscathed, but LSU is paying the price.
I have no idea of what Wade did or did not do, but I do know that Alleva and Wade have put LSU in a very unfavorable light. Regardless, I think it will be several years before LSU basketball will recover. The harm has already been done. We may eventually see Wade and Alleva gone, a new coach and AD and a big sigh...SNAFU. "Situation Normal...All *ucked Up"

Since no one on this board has knowledge of what other information Alleva may have used to base his decisions on, it is impossible to determine at this time what his situation is.

“to reflect on Alleva”

You really can’t be that obtuse. The decisions one makes reflects on their decision making ability.

You can’t praise Joe for hiring the “best coach”on the LSU campus and then relieve him of responsibility if that coach causes sanctions to be leveled against LSU.

Every got damn scholarship athlete in the fricking country received multiple "offers" from coaches/programs all over the fricking country. Wade didn't say one fricking word that discussed one single fricking violation.

Explain to me how a scholarship is split up with the player's mom and family members.

Will Wade:
“The problem was, I know why he didn’t take it now, it was [expletive] tilted toward the family a little bit,” Wade continued. “It was tilted toward taking care of the mom, taking care of the kid. Like it was tilted towards that. Now I know for a fact he didn’t explain everything to the mom. I know now, he didn’t get enough of the piece of the pie in the deal.”

Its NOT a mistake to suspend an employee that refuses to cooperate and your ordered to do so by the university president.

This is the stupidest thing any University Pres of athletic director could have done. Will wade gets suspended and the coach who is on tape the most goes on and wins a NC. Yeah I would say it’s dumb as hell

You do know that the comments you’re referring to is Will Wade talking about Kentucky’s offer right? Lmao some of you people can’t even process simple news stories or the English language correctly.

I guess some people cant understand the negative context of Wade being on a wiretap talking to a known bag man for sports apparel corporations discussing paying players even if it was not about a LSU offer.

Do you see the part where Wade says “he didn’t explain it to the mother correctly”? Wade isn’t using the word “he” to describe himself. He’s talking about when Calipari got posses at Foreman, the third party, for steering Smart towards LSU instead of Kentucky. Calipari found out about this so he cut Foreman out of the recruiting process going around him which is why Foreman didn’t get a piece of the pie. “He” is John Calipari and after seeing his mistake that’s why Wade said “now I know how to get him.”

“ pardon Wade”

Certainly Will is responsible for his actions. I don’t recall saying otherwise. So is Joe.

“you fool”

Maybe, but at least I understand ADs are judged off the decisions they make.

That’s nothing but a straw man argument that’s got nothing to do with the allegations. Everyone talked to Dawkins, who wasn’t a felon at the time. And talking to him in no way is a violation of any law or NCAA rule.

Don't confuse him. He had it all figured out and you had to explain it. Now he will have to make up some more crap to throw on the board.

What’s funny is the distinction in the use of facts by both sides of this argument. The pro-Wade crowd is cautiously optimistic because there is no proof of wrongdoing but admits if he did do something wrong there should be consequences, the Anti-Wade crowd deals in certainty saying he def did something wrong and even if it’s not proven they know he did it and even if he didn’t he shouldn’t have been doing what he did. They add to and twist the reports to fit their theories and have left the facts completely. One side deals in absolutes the other in facts that’s how you know who’s got their heads up their asses.
