Amen. I can understand being pissed off at Jefferson for his performance & his failures as being a leader but this shite is uncalled for. & people wonder why the rest of the country views us dumb & being behind the times. Things like this only adds fuel to that stereotype.

This should be a note to current and future tiger players. Regardless of what you do, it is what it is down in good ole louisiana.

he received threats and racial slurs

This is sad. Fans that do that crap taint people who are pissed but not freaking racist.

JJ, like any athlete, wants to play. It is NOT his job to pull himself out.

It is. I have bashed him on this board with every thread. But to seek him out and hammer his twitter with crap is horrible. Just "unfollow" the ULTIMATE dis. He is NOT a professional athlete. Like the Mike Gundy rant. I'M 40!!!

In 2006, fans were yelling racial slurs at Jamarcus in Tiger Stadium when he was arguably the best QB in football, so a weak QB like JJ having to close down his Twitter after a game like that, with some of the fans we have, doesn't surprise me one bit.

Ridiculous that some of our fans thought this was appropriate. So many other insults they could use without using racial slurs.

and other SEC schools recruiting the same kids as LSU will capitalize on it.
I would not be surprised to hear this reported on ESPN.

Just heard this on the news. It prompted me to write him a personal letter thanking him for all he has done. I just put it in the mail.

I was so pissed at him, but seeing this type of crap has made me flip flop on this guy faster than Obama flips on issues.

He had a bad game yes, but he deserves to be praised, not hated.

it's a fricking shame that people are putting all the blame on one player when it wasn't even his choice. it was the coaches decision. this is gonna hurt recruiting our fans SUCK

It's sad that this had to happen. No one can control what people say. I will pray for JJ and hope for him the best. He didn't want to play like that. None of the players wanted to play like that. It was a team loss........wow....13-1...I will also pray for those idiots that said those things.........

I have criticized JJ as much or more than anyone but racial slurs and attacking him personally are way out of line.

He deserves criticism for his play and for failing to take any responsibility and tossing his teammates under the bus but racial slurs and name calling are out of line and should be stopped.
