Per Wafb twitter...

quote:

Johnny O'Bryant III will announce he's entering the NBA Draft, according to his former coach.

Announcement set for 2pm today (4/1).

Thanks for the memories, JOB3. I think it's the wrong decision but best of luck to the kid.

Not unexpected. His stock won't get any higher in college. Best of luck to him.

Good. I think it's best for both sides. He can't improve his stock much, and hopefully we can move the ball around more next year instead of just trying to throw it in the post to him every possession.

We were really stagnant on offense. Hopefully this will help Martin get more involved.

Why? He needs to get started working on his NBA game. He is unfortunately in a weird spot because he isn't big enough to be a post threat for long but he is tough.

He is a Brandon Bass type player minus the mid range game.

Good luck to him at the next level. It is def time for him to move on and try his luck.

But nothing is guaranteed if he's picked 2nd round.

That being said, I think he has a chance, but just getting drafted doesn't really mean anything.

Goodluck to JOB

ETA: Announcing on April 1? Any chance this is an April Fools joke?
