I live in Virginia and know absolutely nothing about JMU sports, much less softball. What did their softball team do to merit hosting a Super Regional? They play FCS football, so their conference cant be anything special?

Dropped four games all year. Beat Tennessee and Auburn.

They dominated their conference and had very few losses

They were not on ESPN3 or anywhere else so we are flying in blind.

I was watching them on the JMU website today. Their pitching looks lights out. Hitting is solid and good enough to support their pitching, but nothing to write home about.

They're a legit number 8 national seed. Beat some good teams this year. LSU will have all it can handle with those two JMU pitchers.

Indeed, they're quite good. And JMU is where DC's rich people send their good-looking daughters to school.

Fully expecting this Super Regional to be sold out in minutes. If you are planning on attending, might want to be at the ready on Tuesday.

According to JMU website:

In the event JMU advances to the NCAA Softball Championships Super Regionals, all-session books will be available first to Duke Club members. All-session books will be available for the general public beginning Tuesday, May 24 at 9 a.m. (Assuming eastern time there). The two day, best-of-three series will be held between May 26-29 at Veterans Memorial Park in Harrisonburg, Va. (dates and times to be determined). All-session books are $25 and single-day tickets are $15 per person. Children 5 & under are free and all seating is general admission.

Mickey Dean, the coach at JMU, has recruited very successfully from the Beverly Bandits travel program, which is based in Chicago. Carly Hoover played for them at Nationals, Sydney Smith played for them for several years, as did Oregon third baseman Jenna Lilley and Michigan shortstop Abby Ramirez. They are the Birmingam Thunderbolts of the Midwest. 2018 LSU commit Michal Cunningham plays in the organization as well.

JMU is very good. Certainly beatable but they earned their seed and played a very tough non-conference schedule.

Will be buying tickets if I can get my hands on them. Not sure what colors to where since both teams are exactly the same.

We know the super regional is Friday-Saturday. ESPN showed it on their Baylor-Oregon broadcast. Not sure of times yet
