The fans have closure. It is what it is. Miles was infatuated with JJ and put his eggs in that basket.

Pretty much. Making up stories about fights and other 'divisions' is rationalizing a loss that cannot be rationalized except by the fact that we were outplayed by a better team on the day. I can live with that.

People tend to make up stories to explain the things they see. Jan 9 was a prime example of this. In reality, the answer was much less complex than these conspiracy theories.

Bullcrap Beefense I would be willing to bet more people would agree that JJ would rather lose playing the whole game than LSU win if he was pulled.

I don't care what "more people" would believe. That is the dumbest belief ever.

If I had to guess, most of these troubled souls are either kids who are too young to understand what its like to fail and recover from it or else people who lead perfect, flawless lives where they never frick up.

Jarrett Lee was a great Tiger! Even though his play was up and down, I respect him for what he went through and the way he handled it. Here's to Jarrett Lee

Again you give your idol JJ too much credit. A player who is as selfish and arrogant as he is do you really believe he could handle Lee leading LSU to a national championship while JJ was on the bench after being yanked??????

Your almost as delusional as JJ if you do!

I'm not going to say JJ would rather lose than let JL play but I will say what has been obvious for years. JJ is one serious finger pointing mother fricker who I can only assume doesn't even OWN a mirror.

Contrast the reaction of JJ after virtually every bad play he was EVER involved in with the reaction of JL when he threw the SURE TD PASS that went through Randle's hands early in the season.

The difference between those two individuals has ALWAYS been VERY stark in that area. VERY stark.

I can't believe that anyone would actually believe that Jefferson would rather lose. I think this needs to be quoted as many times as you point it to see how far out warped your opinions on the two players are.

Next thing you are going to say is that JJ isnt selfish and arrogant and you agree that he did play well in the BCS game!

Rob, I'm not saying that jj has a better attitude or anything or even defending jj really in this situation. Lee has the better attitude and he looks to be like the better leader of the two.

But there is no way you will get me or anyone thinking rationally that jj would rather lose with him than win a title. That is ridiculous.

I don't think the kid would rather lose. But, the kid has demonstrated ZERO introspection. He probably would never actually think, "I'd rather lose than let JL play" but that's at least in part a function of the fact that the next time JJ thinks HE is a major cause of poor offensive results will likely be the first time JJ thinks he is a major cause of poor offensive results.

When did I say this? You always make up bullshite that I say. A lot of people make up shite that I say because they can't handle not everyone being lockstep on the jj/miles absolute hate fest.

You are starting to lose it Rudy.

Obviously Lee couldn't handle getting benched against Bama and having JJ come in and help win the game. You could tell by the pouting Lee did on the sideline in the remainder of the games. Thank god Les didn't give that whiny a-hole anymore meaningful playing time.

If you believe otherwise, you are just as big of a whiny a-hole as JL.

Again, the decisions of Miles are absolutely and 100% indefensible as pure football decisions. Anyone saying anything to the contrary demonstrates grave ignorance or blind loyalty.

What Miles did was piss poor character and all the bull shite theories about why he fricked JL are just that....Bull shite.

I don't know WHY he fricked him but he most certainly fricked him. Was it cause he had some odd feeling of commitment to JJ? Did he just dilike JL personally? I don't know. But it damned sure wasn't a good football decision. In fact, it was absolutely retarded. Since I don't actually think Miles is retarded, I've got to assume even worse reasons.

I'm not defending the decision to not play lee. It was a bad decision.

Dwelling on it and continuously trashing the man isn't going to do anything productive for this program moving forward. That is my point.

Criticism is fine. But that's not what we have been seeing on this board.

I still don't believe Alabama was a better team. LSU went 13-0 dominating just about everyone. The team that showed up on the 9th was not the same team we witnessed all year. They just bent over and took it from Alabama and never tried to fight back.
Most frustrating part is LSU just looked like it was happy to be in the game. Losing isn't the issue, being dominated and humiliated was.

I believe his attitude isn't great especially when it comes to critiquing himself. I do not believe that he would rather lose than win. That's just laughably stupid.

I believe that when you make a poor football decision, you really don't have to answer for it 100 times cause those happen all the time.

What Miles did to JL was not a football decision unless you think Miles is a fricking imbecile.

When you make poor character choices and don't explain them, people are going to beat the shite out of you until you do.

Indeed. Just a bad game all around.

But I think we rebound strong this year.

Again, the fact he can't critique himself means the net effect is that he actually would rather lose than let JL play.

I don't mean he literally thinks that. I mean that the kid could literally be taking a shite on the field and it would never even occur to him that it wasn't everyone else's fault. Hence, he doesn't want another QB to play because it doesn't cross his mind that QB play is the problem.
