To me it's not even about JJ
It's about miles
JJ has become the goat. But, miles deserves most of the blame.
Most realize where the blame should go. Don't take a few idiots for the majority.
I remember when some people claimed that the first time JL faltered that Miles would take it s the opportunity to reinstate JJ full time. Turns out they were right. Couple of folks actually wanted to make ban bets based on this idea and they haven't self banned yet.

I have read enough about JJ vs. JL until I could puke. It's one side or the other. If all of you guys on here would think...before you spout off ,you would realize that LSU was at it's best when both were playing in the game. Look at the games they both contributed in. Those were the real dominant performance for the Tigers. Neither QB was capable of winning the NC by themselves. Both could have given us a better shot. Now, let's move on from this shite.

The team as a whole was certainly capable of winning the NC without JJ on the team. That's the whole point.

Most on here realize this ... the problem is that only one QB saw the field the latter part of the season and that decision very well could be the reason LSU lost the BSCNC.

True and I honestly think if given the choice JJ would pick to lose the NC game with him playing all game than win it with JL coming in for him in the 3rd quarter and leading LSU to the victory.
By the way I brought this up in the spring and summer but since were speaking of hindsight so much how about Les stumping around on the JJ is so improved JJ is such a great leader tour in the spring and summer! I never saw any of that improvement and I wonder why Miles so vehently tried to make JJ out as a leader when he clearly wasnt and never was!
Of course JJ still thinks he played great in the NC game which I believe says alot about his character and Miles coddling of him.

Yes, but 7ward seems to be defending the coaching decision in that game. I just think not giving JL a shot at all is pretty indefensible which 7ward seems to be able to rationalize in his head.
Having said that, it was an allowable mistake because the coaching was pretty good in the other games. I just can't understand how long people will remain bitter over this. It is time to move on.

Oh shut up people. Just cus people liked JJ doesnt mean they hated lee. And just because someone was in love with lee, doesnt make them his grandpa.
Both these players did what they were asked to do by the coaches. They are not the best qbs, but dont blame these guys. They both worked their asses off for LSU, they both received their fair share of hate. Its time to move on and imo this is all on the coaches and not the qbs.

For the most part, I think fans just want closure, but unfortunately, with Miles that will never come. Seems we'll never really know what happened behind the scenes that resulted in the cluster f*&% on January 9.

Whatever dude I knew a true JJ fanboi like BeeFense would jump in as soon as his hero was impugned!
Tell me you dont think a player who would continually tell fans how well he was playing after some of the worst qb play in LSU history, a player who would run and get in the face of Spencer Ware on that pitiful attempt JJ made in the NC game. Tell me that player wouldnt rather loose the game than have his backup come in and win it!

I have yet to see a single defense of the decision to stick with JJ outside of the JJ-knights on this board.
I would have have tried Lee sometime in the 4th, but I have no delusions bout it making a difference.
We didn't go 13-1 cause of QB play and we were never going to win that game cause of QB play. imo
We were averaging almost 220 ypg rushing the ball, no matter our QB, going into that game and had less than 40. Could a more effective pass game have helped our running...sure, but lets be honest...we were #105 in passing O before that game and #102 after the 1st Bama game.
We can piss and moan bout the L till the cows come home, but I'm hard pressed to believe tossing Lee in to pass when everyone knows he's going to pass would have been the answer to anything.

7th Ward has many years ahead of him to watch more football and reevaluate his positions. He believes JJ as "starter" deserved the PT. Neither of these guys should have received exclusive PT.

The fans have closure. It is what it is. Miles was infatuated with JJ and put his eggs in that basket.

I'm not defending jj with that comment rudy. I'm pointing you out for one of the stupidest things i have ever read.

Yeah, I get that people want closure but fans need to realize this isn't a hallmark movie with an ending presented with a bow tied around it. We lost because the other team was better and Miles completely messed up the QB situation towards the end of the season. He's never going to admit it because he probably feels like he doesn't owe people answers and also because he probably wants fans to look at the big picture of what was achieved and where we go from there.
I hate the mistake that he made but agree with him on the big picture part. We have to move on and not let this eat us and the program hollow. Dwelling on the past is a very dangerous thing.

Evidence that JL could read the writing on the wall. Hard to be fully effective when you're looking over your shoulder.

Pretty much. Making up stories about fights and other 'divisions' is rationalizing a loss that cannot be rationalized except by the fact that we were outplayed by a better team on the day. I can live with that.

Bullcrap Beefense I would be willing to bet more people would agree that JJ would rather lose playing the whole game than LSU win if he was pulled.
The guy is selfish and arrogant and actually thinks he played well in the NC game can you say delusional!
