First Half Auburn (basically his first game of the season) - Horrible

Last Half Troy (basically his last game of the season) - Awesome

- seems to be a tad bit of improvement in the above microcosm of Lee's season.

My point is not that Lee has gotten better over the course of the season. My point is that your statement is very subjective and "gray" in its context. Gary Crowton thinks Lee has made quite a bit of progress this season. If you ever get the chance to sit and chat with him about it, I certainly recommend it.

You are correct. With Lee on the Bench next year, it will be juuuuuuust fine!

Comparing J. Lee's RS freshman numbers to these QBs is supposed to embarass me? To the contrary, if you take a step back and take a deep breathe, I think you just got my point.

2 terrible teams.

If you are reaching for Troy as a "sign of improvement", you are through. Lee is one of the REASONS we had to come back in the first place.

How'd he look vs. the worst pass defense in the SEC (Ole Piss)?

That he is nowhere NEAR as good as any of those guys?

Got it.

Right now, I'd take Marcus Randall or Chad Loup over Lee.

Throw in the fact that a second year qb (Lee is not a true freshman) also won the Heisman last year, it is not out of left field to expect better qb play.

ry to find even 5 redshirt freshman QBs at any school in the FBS in the last 50 years that have put up those kind of numbers in their RS Fresh season .... and then get back with me.

1. Robert Griffin - 2000yds 14Td's 58.7% 142.15Rat
2. Terrelle Pryor - 1245yds 12Td's 62.5% 152.1Rat
3. Austen Davis - 2640yds 19Td's 57.4% 126.0Rat
4. Kellen Moore - 3051yds 23Td's 69.7% 160.29Rat

BTW the 1st 2 are TRUE frosh and the last 2 are RS Frosh. I'll also give you numbers of 2 TRUE frosh last year.

Trevor Vittatoe - 3101yds 25Td's 55% 135.87
Case Keenum - 2259yds 14Td's 68.5%147.61

These numbers do not tell the ENTIRE story but they paint a picture. JL has decent numbers, outside the pick6's. It's not his arm that is the problem so much as his decision making ability. Nobody on this list has AS MANY picks or pick6's as JL.

That is Giant leap of faith. Who has ever had three great quarterbacks? Although our defense makes all quarterbacks appear great.

Lets see, LSU has been thru 3 QB's this year. I think LSU will need them both at the very least.

You think Lee stinks and will never get better. Me and Crowton disagree. We can go back and forth on this all day because we're merely "predicting" what will happen in the future based on what we've seen this year (I think we also disagree to an extent on what we've seen this year). There is no right or wrong answer at this point and if you think there is, then you're biased in your opinions and have already made up your mind based on your opinion.

The QB that gives us the best chance to win will get the majority of the snaps for us next season. AT THIS POINT, I believe that QB to be Lee, and I think most people with a high football IQ would agree. That does not mean that I don't like JJ or don't want to see JJ get a bulk of the snaps next year. JJ will make Lee better and diversify our offense. I just think Lee is our best option at this point as our every-down QB.

What do you base your opinion on??? Lee has not shown me one time this season that he has the mental ability to learn and get better. I will agree with everyone that he has awesome physical attributes to be a great QB but he doesnt have the brains to do so. He has made the same mistakes in the Ole Miss game that he made in the Auburn game. He has shown no progress in his mental ability to learn the game. he still cant read defenses, he still looks uncomfortable, he is still scared to get hit and he wont scan the field and check off recievers.
Other than physical attributes, how can you justify your opinion????
