Is it necessary to lock everything down? Won't have TV or satellite in the bed of the truck but will have tents, grill, pots, burner and coolers.

Need a good recipe. Never had em. Never cooked em.
SEC Championship against UT. Team could have easily quit and Miles would have never recovered with what was to come in 08 and 09.

Need a good recipe or any other brunch recipe that you find awesome...
Going for the LSU / Florida game. Having a hard time deciding on 2 days at the festival or 1 day visiting Magic Kingdom for the Halloween deal.

Has anyone been? Recommendations? Reviews?
Lee definitely is doing a great job, but the media didn't clap. The press conference was at TJ Ribs so fans were there. I know we have some homers in the media but that would have been too far.
A little different than what is normally posted here.

Referring to fan un-rest regarding his play.

"It hurts a little bit, but I have broad shoulders," he said in his normal easy-going manner.

"That (last year) was the most humble I had to stay because of the situation. I deserved it because I didn't play the way I expected to play. My confidence level was low at times, which is probably the reason for some of my performances."

He realizes his play was not up to par. Let's hope he is as improved as folks are saying.

He may actually be much better at safety, but opposing coaches will find a way to make him cover and that is what makes me afraid.
The way I took his statement was that McCray is the starter and Taylor would have his shot to play, but McCray is the #1 guy right now.
I think he went there and skipped his senior year of highschool in Lafayette.

Variables that can change the outcome:
Maturing from boy to young man.
Structured study hall programs.
Tutors.
Oversight on class attendance.
Realizing that play for $ is a real possibility if you can stay eligible in order to show and develop your skills.
Living away from home and the bad habits developed over time.
Associating with other responsible and committed student athletes.
Icing... a coach who cares if you graduate.

What a piece of crap post. Logic like this has no place here.

Maybe that his highschool coach had to cover his own arse and put the blame on LSU instead of taking it on himself

You are a smart cookie.

The majority of early enrollees don't have these issues.

There's not way in hell that Okkie State just so happened to line this thing up and all the chips fell into place for them.

This is very fishy.

If Pratt is getting a shot at RB then make the most of it. Don't bitch and moan and leave.

To be honest, I would be turned off too if I was Pratt and this was the case. Before one practice he is being approached about a position change. He was coming to LSU to play tailback.

The difference in this situation is that since Pratt is an early enrolee, he is not stuck on campus due to signing a LOI so he may be weighing his options.

Transfers as a result of requested position change would probably happen more often if kids were not locked in.

The sad thing is that some coaches intentionally do this.
quote:

Because if someone else higher on the board wants to sign and the coaches accept that, then DP has no scholly offer at all.

If that is the case I'm ashamed that our coaches would allow the young man to travel all the way to Baton Rouge without telling him his offer was revoked.

I just don't see that being the case.

Somebody dropped the ball on this one at LSU by letting this guy get to Baton Rouge and not being able to enroll.
quote:

Is it possible that Pratt was told by coaches that he was not to enroll in January unless he was paying his own way since his scholarship offer was contingent on someone else not signing with LSU?

Then why would he leave?
about his status at LSU?

I understand it may not be the coaches fault for him not being cleared, but there should have been a sit down with him and his folks on the status of things and where the fault should be placed.

Is it unreasonable to think he should have been assured before he left Baton Rouge of his place?

When a player of his caliber wants to commit you take him and find something for him to do.

re: Sid Edwards on Josh Johns

Posted by diamondtiger on 1/17/09 at 12:43 pm to
You said he was comparing their talent and I'm just pointing out that Johns is not nearly as highly regarded talent wise as two of the players the coach used as a comparison.

I'm not disagreeing with anything the coach said, I'm pointing out that you are wrong that the comparison includes talent level.

Flynn and Steltz were very highly regarded players coming out of high school and both have legit NFL talent.

We were FORCED to KICK him off the team due to his repeated F ups. How could he have stayed, even if both he wanted to stay and we wanted to keep him?

Do you really think this guy who started the post did not know that?
