There's over 100 guys on the team. I doubt they were all there.

He should have at least apologized for getting caught. I would imagine a team player would apologize for hurting the team.

Of course they weren't. It's hard to cheer for this guy.

this bothers me..
He took no personal accountability for his actions and mentioned the team each time when making a reference to the Shady's incident...
So now he has turned this to where his "popularity" is what got him noticed that night. I don't like the comments about wanting his starting job back. He should focus on that as a competitor but not make that a public statement. This team was just fine without JJ, but we can better with him if he can lose this bitter attitude.
I am really worried after reading his post practice interview...
Coach has to be very careful how this is handled, I can easily see alliances forming behind each QB.

You dumbass bastards try to find every single way to mess with JJ geeeees I want JL to start for the time being too but just shut up already

I would imagine if he had it to say over again, he would say he didn't appologize to the team because none of them expected one. They have probably all told him to his face that they had his back and was supporting him.

He could have very well meant that they were there and know what really happened.

Lee sure was not. What a dishonest thing to say. The team in part was there, but that does not mean 85-100 players, it means probably 30 or so.

+ 1
Absolutely no acceptance of any responsibility...
not the quality of a leader, but of someone feeling entitled. What a shame. He could have gotten some more people on his side.

so much for JJ being quiet and being a role player....
“My personal goal is to be the starter. I am going to do whatever it takes to get there."
(alternate answer: "I'm going to just keep working hard and when the coaches put me in, do my best to help the team win.")
"I can’t imagine anybody in the country going through more than I did."
(alternate answer: "It was tough, but lots of people go through worse things than this every day.")
"You never know how popular you are until situations like this."
(alternate answer: [keeps mouth shut])
"I have a 20-7 record which is very high for a quarterback at LSU. I’ve been leading LSU for three years."
(alternate answer: [anything other than pointing out that Miles' winning percentage is higher when JJ is not starting QB]

I was disappointed that JJ didn't offer some sort of apology and "copped out" to a ...
"Well, everybody else on the team was there" so I didn't need to apologize ... excuse he used for no apology.
At least be a man and a leader and apologize to your coaches and the university on behalf of the entire team ... AT LEAST APOLOGIZE FOR BREAKING TEAM RULES & CURFEW WHICH LEAD TO ALL OF THIS NONSENSE ... SHOW SOME REGRET
apologize to the guys like Les Miles, etc who have busted their asses to make sure that you have everything you possibly need to become the best ballplayer and human being that you can be ... show some leadership there
Damn, I feel better after writing that ... just had to get it out ... I was raised that when you screw up, you cowboy up and take the consequences and apologize to those who you made suffer.
If you think LSU coaches did not suffer over this matter and did not deserve an apology, then I'm fullocrap!
Furthermore, the JJ article ... If you read it carefully ... the entire article is
I ... I .... I .... I .... I
Hey JJ, there is no I in TEAM
