Gruden has been talking LSU up on the last few Monday Night Football games. IMO, Jimbo is the next coach.

Everything sounded great until the end with gruden. He will not leave espn unless the nfl network comes after him.

Miles isn't going anywhere.

You are all wasting your time.

He will be coaching the Tigahs in Lambeau next September.

I'm so conflicted. I am happy there is a move being made but I can't help but to be really bummed for Les. I wish I could buy him a beer or something.

LSU brass has been vetting other coaches they may be interested in hiring as replacements, and it is apparent that the foundation wants the hire to be an established coach, not a rising star in the coaching ranks.

I'm not sure how comfortable I feel with money men getting deeply involved in the next hire. I don't mind them having input that it's time to get rid of Miles and assuring that the money is there. But I think history teaches that too many egos trying to have input on hires is not necessarily the best thing. You need to get a professional who you trust to make those kinds of decisions. If they don't trust Aleva to do that kind of thing, get someone as AD who they do trust and let that AD make the coaching hire call.

That's exactly what they need to do.

Get an established major coach

Hope it happens

LSU is set up to win now

NO

I can get on board but I'm worried about him for some reason. I'd rather Patterson, Herman, or Dabo

They probably had input in the last few hires for HC.....this isn't a new thing, its protocol at most big universities.

I think getting rid of Steele and Cam would be a good start. Not good hires imo.
What about Temple's coach? He really turned that program around. Houston's coach- same thing.
Just my humble opinion - don't yell at me

Don't want Dabo. He will bolt as soon as the Alabama job comes open.

It worries me that the people pushing for this change actually think Gruden is a candidate.

I would never have thought I'd agree with this. On one hand, I feel relieved that a move will be made. On the other hand, I actually do feel sorry for him. Not sorry enough to keep him, though.
