Perhaps the best way to decide an extension or not this year is to let season ticket holders vote on it, Its their money. Send out a mailer with options.

No reason to get upset.
I'm not upset. I really doubted that we could beat Bama with o as the head coach and e as the offensive coordinator.
I even said in a few posts last week that I thought we could be competitive with them if the offense played like they did in the Georgia game. Perhaps even win the game with a few breaks.
But this years offense has looked average at best in way too many games so far this season. And the offense that showed up last night wasn't up to the task.
In my opinion, we have the players to give Bama a scare and perhaps win a few games against them, but we don't have the coaches on the offensive side of the ball.

Y'all can make this out to be Os fault if it makes you feel better.
Gosh, thanks.
Seriously, who's fault do you think it should be? Isn't o the man in charge? Doesn't the buck stop with him? Miles was 5-7 against Bama while he was the coach. Who would you blame for those 7 losses? As far as I'm concerned, Miles should shoulder the blame since he was the head coach.
Even in a few of those games where we had the lead late and the defense didn't stop Bama from tying or taking the leas in those losses. it's still on Miles since he was the man in charge.
Same thing should go for o. He's the man calling the shots. It's his responsibility. And I'm not saying that to pick on o. That's just the way it works.

This is one time gotta disagree with Hannagriff, after the Ala debacle, it should matter if LSU finishes the season well. Especially that Coach O really handled this loss wrong, his tantrum needs to move in-house among the players, not openly.

Let’s see, a guy no one else would even interview for a HC position, and one that no one on earth will ever try to hire away from us, and one that has said repeatedly to anyone that will listen that this is his absolute “dream job” and lifelong goal he always hoped to achieve.
Yeah we better lock that guy up QUICK!!!

His buyout will be larger than Les's

Why is he getting an extension?

Orgeron will absolutely get an extension. And it is well deserved

Because Charles Hannagriff and Jimmy Ott, say so!

LSU's 2019 season will look much like 2018, 9 or 10 win season and a blow out to Ala.

His current contract runs through 2019. Nobody is talking about firing him this year.

Nobody is really talking about firing Coach O, but many fans aren’t ready to give him an extension right now.

Thanks. I stand corrected.
That makes any talk of his getting a three-year contract extension at this point even more ludicrous.

104.5 this morning, coming out spicy, criticizing Coach O for openly bashing is Oline, and teams with worse Olines were able to score on Alabama, yet LSU was not able toso Coach O needs to address the offense not just Oline.
Posted on 11/5/18 at 7:40 am to TrueTigerTale
I don't remember Coach Miles ever blatantly bashing his offensive line. How does Coach O think that will be productive? I doubt the players respond very well to being publically criticized by their own HC.
Posted on 11/5/18 at 8:13 am to TigersFan64
Miles never criticized his players’ poor performance in front of the media. This is just one of several areas of coaching Orgeron needs to improve on. How Orgeron handled this was wrong, anitger is that teams with weaker Olines scored multiple times against Ala, here Orgeron looks like Miles in refusing to address his offense.

There should be no talk of and extension until the end of next season.
