You’re absolutely right. On one hand it makes me believe that these people are imposters , and aren’t really Lsu fans to begin with.
The real butthurt for me is that Aleeva didn’t restart the Search after Jimbo and Herman fell through. Had he done that, and it was determined that O was the best fit then I wouldn’t have any problem with it. I certainly don’t think that Jimbo is worth anywhere in the 7m per year neighborhood

You make some good points. I hope you're right. I just have a bad feeling about this. Fisher was able to recruit pretty well at Florida State, particularly when it comes to quarterbacks. I also have a feeling that A&M is about to get much more physical on defense in a few years. I sure hope I'm wrong about all this.

You couldn't care less.
If you could care less, then that means you do care.

you can't look at a snapshot, because Jimbo has a longer body of work.
Yes, this year for FSU has been a disaster, but they played Bama very tight until their QB went down, and they've struggled with their freshman replacement.
Given Jimbo's years of sustained success, I give him a pass this year. Now if the decline continues another year or two, then that signals a bigger problem
In Jimbo's last 3 season he has lost 12 games and his only big win was Michigan
In Miles' last 3 season he lost 11 games and got fired
Both won a NC and had another great season where they were blown out in their last game.
Miles also coached when the SEC was its peak.

We will not continue to be elite with coaches like O. We’re slipping down the totum poll. It’s a slow process but we’ll get there. O is the 4th best coach in the West at best. That ain’t cutting it.

fricking nothing!! Some of you are scared of your own damn shadow! Grow a pair ! Jimbo is a good coach , but some of you act like Bear , Saban , or Carroll is taking over at a7m. Lsu will continue to be a top program, and nobody is afraid of Jimbo fricking Fisher! Did Bama not skull drag their nuts all over Jimbos face this year? Lsu will continue to beat a7m , so please stop these inferiority posts! I couldnt care fricking less if Jimbo or Jim Bob Cooter is hired by a7m!!!
You are 100% correct, and I only wish that I could have gotten 100 extra likes. Jimbo is a good coach whose team 100% quit on him this year -- something that no Les and this years O's team DID NOT do. We will win 6 more years in a row vs. the Aggies. GREAT POST.

How did you reach this conclusion? I’m really curious. I’m assuming that Saban is #1 and Gus (who Orgeron just beat) is #2, but what is the rest of the list?

Honestly, don't know how big of a difference he'll make at A&M. Maybe he'll pull in better players but I still think he'll be an 8-4 to 10-2 coach there.
His style plays into the hands of elite defenses, which the good SEC programs have.

I’m not afraid of him as a coach. I’m damn afraid of his recruiting ability and he’s right in our back yard.
This here....add in that O is our coach, and i'm not liking the situation a whole lot.

I could care less. Jimbo never impressed me as a head coach. Sure he’ll get some talent and possibly take a few recruits from LSU but I still expect to dominate A&M when we line up against them.

Please.Jimbo Fisher winning percentage over 8 seasons is .780 with one national championship and a no 5 rating. Rest of the years FSU finished in lower part of top 25 The big wins came when he had Jamius Winston at QB. When he hasn’t had a great QB he s not all that. Contrast that to Les Miles over 16 seasons at .721 a national championship and a number 2 finish. Without great QB play. So don’t go into a panic about Fishers dalliance with the Aggies, I like the Tigers odds better

Good thing TX HIgh School FB is short on good QBs.

It means a hell of a lot, he was our number 1 target for 2 years in a row. So either our AD is a complete idiot who can't close a deal for a established HC, or LSU isn't a top 5-10 destination in coaches eyes. The next thing you have to wonder is, If Fisher is such a piss poor coach then why was he are number one target 2 years in a row? How did we go from Fisher to Herman to Orgeron?
